Hainan chicken rice is good here for lunch, as is the $20 BYO Singaporean chilli crab. The service was pretty poor on our last Saturday lunch even though there were very few customers. Very disappointed that they're charging $2 per person for rice.

Gorgeous baked eggs and the best french toast I've ever had. The reason I gave 10 for service is because when I cancelled my coffee order, because it had not come even after I reminded them once, they apologized with a complimentary mud cake dessert. I haven't had this level of customer service for a long long time.

Response from Management:
Thanks Geoffrey, glad you enjoyed your time with us. We have put a lot of work into our drinks section and now should be able to get that coffee to your table. Thanks again for the review. It means a lot to us. Cheers and have a nice one.

Aaron.

The dumplings here really are the best in Sydney and the chicken soup is delicious (expensive but well worth it for the flavor). None of the other savory dishes are really that worthwhile.

The decor is lovely, particularly for an Asian restaurant.

I think they really need to improve on their customer service, which was pretty good a year or so ago, but just gets worse every time I go there. Last time I was there, they banged the cutlery on the table and when pouring the water, it spilled everywhere, onto the table cloth and we did not even get an apology.

I'm Taiwanese-born Australian, living here for the last 30 years. I've been to this place for the last 8 or so years.

I love the food that's here especially the little side dishes, pigs ear, bitter melon and the deep fried prawns. The main meals here, fried chicken or the fried fish one, are value for money. Oh, and don't forget to add a soup (in winter) or cold red/green tea (in summer) for an extra $1.

I wouldn't try their dumplings though. If you want dumplings, go somewhere else in World Square.

The service, unfortunately, is really a bit of a shame. They really shouldn't be wiping down the table and clearing the table (by pouring together all the liquid and leftover food into one disgusting mess) while you are still there trying to get money from your wallet or exit the little tiny cafe. Surely, they can wait until you have left to clear the table, since they can do it so quickly. This is really the biggest thing that lets the whole place down.

The other thing is that this place really needs a renovation and replacement cutlery. The plastic tea cups they use are now stained from years of use and the meals come in plastic boxes which are chipped.

When you exit, don't forget to grab some lollies as you go, especially the one with the green packaging: it's green tea, just lovely.

If you're wanting serious good coffee, and staff who know what they're talking about, this is the place to go.

I was here for the first time on a lunchtime on Thursday. It wasn't very busy, given it was a rainy day, and the customer service was thankfully, therefore prompt, polite and professional. Interesting selection of wines and delicious, well-proportioned food to accompany. Definitely recommend this spot for a week day lunch.

Loved the scones and must try the pear jam. Pity they are open only on the weekends as it does get really crowded. Great hidden little place to have a break after browsing at the Rocks Markets.

Cakes were delicious as was the sparkling wine. Definitely overpriced but understandable given the location and view. Very poor customer service.
