We come here only when we have a coupon and went there for lunch yesterday.
The burgers we choose were very dry. The buns used were plain hamburger buns and burnt. I expected it to be moist and juicy but it wasn't.
We both agreed that they were not worth $15 each but only worth it if you have a half price coupon.
Staff there look like they'd rather be somewhere else and the ambience is a very sterile and cold one. Not welcoming at all.
Nevermind, we will be back as I have lots more coupons but I wish the Bayfields would do something better about this place as it has a lot of potential.

Went there after reading the great reviews and wasnt disappointed. Walked in and was immediately, pleasantly greeted and showed to our table. It was a tight squeeze and buzzing but with lots of ambience. Food was good and fresh.
We ordered various tapas but there wasn't a huge selection. We had the cheese balls, which were yummy and I wished for more than 1 each. The chicken wings were in a spice and not fried. The dip plate was well presented, tasty and nice. We also ordered the cauliflower and beetroot salad on recommendation and it was also very nice, warm and different.
Prices were very reasonable and the for mains we couldn't go past the paella which was the best I've tasted and not dripping in oil, and worth the 40min wait for them to make it. It was for two but we shared it between 3 easily.
Service was good and attentive but very busy with a full house.
Last but not least, we also ordered the sangria jug and wow it was delicious, refreshing and packed a mind blowing punch! Over all it was a great experience and one I will recommend. Thank you.

Viewed the 5 course Degustation meal deal they had for $65pp and thought we'd try it as it was for a special occasion.
The offer stipulates that you have to dine at 6 to be out by 8pm, so we arrived early at 5.40pm but were asked to leave as they dont open till 6.
I wasn't impressed as they could of sat us outside and offered us some drinks while we waited the twenty minutes.
Unfortunately we had to go to the Observatory Hotel for a quick drink and waited there, which ended up being a rush to get back.
Once inside, I couldnt believe how small it was and no views or window. It is a very small restaurant which was empty but to my amazement, we were still seated directly in front of the open kitchen...
We upgraded by $30pp to include wines with meals as all the wines started at $49 per bottle.
Food was very well presented, tasty but all very small portions for the price. We had to order chips and bread just so we could feel satisfied.
Service was good but there was only 2 other tables so you would expect it to be.
The place is dark and lifeless and I suppose I was looking for something completely different with more ambiance and colour. Weather wise it was a perfect night and for $100pp I could of gone to so many other fine dining places with a view.
We were unfortunately not satisfied.

Third or fourth time here and it was nice to see nothing changes for a change. Food was good. Service was fast. Ambience was hectic and very entertaining.
Value a little expensive but with the great view and surrounds, it isn't bad for a great night out.
Congrats to the owners who are making a mint. Very well structured and presented. Sure its a little loud as its such a hugh area but its an alive and happening place to go celebrate anything. Thanks again.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night and really enjoyed the food. We ordered the tandoori chicken and it was moist and juicy and finger licking good! The mains were great too with the lamb Rogan Josh cooked to perfection. The nan was authentic too and everything went well together.
Only problem was the sitting arrangement as I was on floorboards and my partner on carpet so that every time someone walked past the table would shake.
Also found it unprofessional that one of the staff (probably the owner) wasnt wearing a uniform but jeans and a cowboy checkered shirt which was off putting and looked sloppy.
All in all good food and good location.

Excellent dining experience all year round. Wait staff very respectful and polite and the manager should be proud. A well organised fast flowing modern place which is a must for sydney siders and tourists. We had the classic fish and chips and steak sambo which was so yummy and worth the $20 + price tags.
Definitely going back there soon as we are locals and we treasure places like these.

OMG!! I never expected this from a cafe/kiosk on the northern beaches ultimate location Palm Beach! We went for a quick lunch and opted for the kiosk as they had Campos coffee and we didn’t want an expensive lunch.
Well what we got was a chicken schnitzel roll and the schnitzel was dark orange and brown from being recooked and deep fried over and over. The chips with my disgusting salt and pepper calamari rocks were also reheated and were all crunchy and gold/brown with about 8 fresh ones on top. I couldn't believe my eyes as we picked at the food in our takeaway containers that it was served in. Even the pie we also got was stone cold and mushy.
It was unbelievable and such a disappointment to know that this food is being served to tourists who would eat here. We saw all the semi untouched containers on other empty tables who had abandoned the food.
Seriously I’ve never been this critical of any restaurant but feel that I need to express this to you and hopefully the manager of dunes who will hopefully rectify this embarrassing disappointing situation.

Good food but very pricey especially when you include wine and predinner drinks. It's not byo. Would be prepared to pay $35pp. Waiters serve the meat and are very friendly but dont obverse the red and green colour shakers on the table - green saying yes for more or red no more please. Went with kids last time and they loved the food but we all noticed that meat was extra salty this time and we paid for it that night! Great for big groups but not for an initimate dinner.

Went last night and was surprised that it wasnt very busy. We have been before and its always been buzzing. Anyway all went well food wise as it was very tasty and ample. The mixed entree for two came in 3 separate sessions instead of on 1 platter which was amusing and the fish served was Ling but smelt like stock fish. I heard the next table complain about the fish but it is suppose to spell that way. All went well, wish they placed the groups around us away as they were loud and there was other places. Other than that I highly recommend it and look forward to going back.
