Our family of 3 went there for dinner at 6:30pm on a Friday night. There were only 2 tables occupied and service was good. The restaurant ambience was also good. On the day we went we were told that they have discount pricing on live seafood Mondays to Fridays. So we decided to order a live lobster with noodles as a base, chinese brocolli with beef stir fried, and seafood bean curd hotpot. All served with boiled rice and chinese tea. They also served us complimentary dessert. The bill came up to $150 which was very good value. Food tasted good as well. Will definitely return.

Slightly above average Chinese food targeting Aussie palate. They do a very good Pork Spare Ribs with Peking sauce. Ordinary Scallops with Snow Peas as they use small/poorer quality scallops, not commensurate with the price they charge. It's an okay place for a meal. Nothing to shout about.

Excellent degustation. We loved every dish. The ambience was great and vibrant. My 10 year old son was absolutely enthralled with the toilet where the transparent glass turns opaque once someone gets into it. Fantastic food!

I consider Aseana an average joint for Malaysian food. They offer some Malaysian dishes and some Burmese dishes. Rojak was not good, nasi lemak so so, chicken rice so so. Around that area (Randwick, Kensington), there are better quality food restaurants to visit.

Your normal BBQ roast pork, duck kind of place. Service is very average, not much of an ambience. BBQ meat is good quality and good price value.

Our family of 3 went to WAQU for the first time last night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Value is fantastic for a 6 course degustation dinner. Food presentation was good, our waitress attentive, and overall great ambience. Very good evening indeed!

I used to like Makan @ Alice. However, I'm finding that their actions over the past year and a half are creating issues for their business:
Poor value - their pricing structure does not commensurate with value relative to their competitors. Seating comfort - customers are now being packed into small tables close to other tables or made to share tables to maximise transactions. In comparison to other establishments like Temasek, Istana, Sambal, etc, seating comfort here is very poor.
I'm not faulting their food quality, but I no longer enjoy eating there as they make my family of 3 feel like they're doing us a favour squeezing us to a small table for 2 persons (they won't let us seat in a table for 4 even though we were there at 11:30 am). After being loyal customers for many years they have now lost us. We now go to alternative restaurants. It's called competition.

We went as a party of 12 and ordered a number of dishes including hainan chicken rice, sambal prawns, singapore chili crab, sambal kang kong. Thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes but a bit on the expensive side. Will go again.

We went on Friday night, the place was full, and the food took a long time to be served (approximately 30 min for first dish to be served to 50 min, last dish). Relatively good range of Malaysian food. Three of us went and we ordered Prawn Mee (presentation was no good - egg was buried in noodle, and the taste was average), curry chicken rice (presentation was average, taste average), char keow teow (was quite good) and belacan kang kong (which was quite good). Considering they're new, still learning & we also received a 10% opening discount, we will return to try their fares again.

Pretty good value at Mamak. The quality of the food is not commensurate with the long queues this restaurant experiences. The food isn't bad, just isn't that great. Seating is uncomfortably close to each other as they try to squeeze maximum amount of space. Only been there once, and unlikely to return.
