Great food - they do all the run of the mill Indian stuff if you want but also have a full menu of authentic Northern Indian cuisine. Ambience was nice although there was a few large parties when we went so it was a bit noisy. Service was great. Price wise it's higher than your average Indian but then it's better than your average Indian! Oh and they have an Indian beer on tap which is delicious!

Dropped into Jamie's last night (3 days after it opened) and expected to be waiting a fair while for a table. We were told there would be around a 35 minute wait, but they have a very good buzzer system and a few bar tables where you can sit and have a drink, so we waited and were actually seated within 15 minutes.
Service was friendly and very attentive, the menu has a really wide selection and all sounded delicious. The waiter told us that everything was made up fresh to order so we could chop and change if there were the odd ingredients we didn't like.
We both ordered pasta dishes which were around $20-25 each and then followed with a dessert that was around $8. Great pricing in our opinion, cheaper than some dodgy pubs and for beautifully fresh elegant food. Everything was really tasty. The atmosphere was really nice. The staff were excellent and we will definitely be back!

I first visited Din Tai Fung in Hong Kong where I was blown away with how amazing it was. I was over the moon when I discovered it's here in Sydney too and have subsequently eaten in the World Square restaurant on a number of occasions. Simply The Best dumplings in Sydney, particularly the soup dumplings which are out of this world.
The one downside? On a weekend you can wait up to an hour and a half for a table, but it's worth the wait once in a while. Also, now they have started handing out buzzers which go off when your table is called. They reach to the bar next door, so put your name down, get your buzzer and go for a few pre dinner drinks. You won't regret it.

I'm really disappointed because I really like the Dolphin and have had an alright 'pub grub' meal here before. But I went for Sunday roast last week and it was truly awful. The roast of the day on the blackboard was lamb, but I think they served mutton! It was tough, severely over cooked, sinewy, fatty and leather-like. Really horrid. The mutton came with new (not roast) potatoes which were practically raw and inedible, carrots which were cooked to mush and gravy which was full of grotesque lumps. There were no redeeming features at all about the meal, it was truly disgusting.
My pregnant wife had asked the kitchen to make sure her meat was fully cooked through, so they had taken their already severely overcooked meat and panfried the bejesus out of it until it was crispy and black. She could hardly cut through it with a knife. Neither of us ate very much and went home hungry having forked out $17.50 each. We won't be eating there again.

Great location, fine service, great views, generally a nice place to sit and have dinner. But the price is on a par with some pretty darn good restaurants and the food is not of a particularly good standard. If it was half the price (which as a member you get some good two-for-one deals) it would be about right but for this money I'd head somewhere else for a much better meal and even better views.

Tried this place for the first time last night having been a frequent visitor to the other Thai restaurants on the street and I have to say I was pretty disappointed.
Service was incredibly slow, eventually I caught the chef's eye and He came to take our order as nobody else seems bothered. The food arrived reasonably swiftly but I was given salmon and not the lamb that I ordered so it had to go back. We also ordered a roti which never turned up. My wife had finished eating by the time I could begin.
Portions were Very small compared to the competition and the food was not particularly special. Given the portion size it was overpriced. I won't be going back, carry on walking down the road and there are 3 better options to choose from.
