I have been coming to Slice Pizza Cafe for years and I've finally decided to review it. There are a number of words that come to mind in description, all of them good, delicious, filling, affordable, romantic, intimate, friendly, warm, attentive.

I highly recommend trying the Monterey Chicken if you're up for pizza with a difference. The coffee and desserts are also amazing here, the chef and owner can make some fantastic dessert pizzas or accommodate any special requests, just feel free to ask.

This place might be small but it's a hidden gem and cannot be faulted.

This place was difficult to fault. If for anything, I would say it was too small and far too popular for its own good.

The food, drinks and service were infallible. One of the most amazing dishes I've ever had was here, Pork Belly with crackling and grape sauce. Fresh, delicious free bread with extra virgin olive oil was a pleasant surprise. The pork just melted apart on the fork and the crackling was absolutely amazing. But the grape sauce gave it such a delicious contrast, I felt like I was reliving Christmas!

The drinks might seem pricey, but you get your moneys worth, not some tiny little martini glass. Be brave and dive into the deep end as far as drinks go, the bartenders know their stuff.

The service was second to none also. Very attentive, happy, enthusiastic waiter who was happy to offer suggestions to Tapas novices such as ourselves.

For two people, with 3 tapas and drinks, it worked out $80, certainly justifiable given the service and quality of food we received. We will come back, and we certainly recommend it!

I was expecting far, far more based on the fact that Billy Kwong is a celebrity chef restaurant, supposedly up there with Rockpool. It is not.

Upon entering, we should've realised the first sign to turn away was the arrogant, haughty tone we received of welcoming and the disconcerted, demeaning looks from the waitress. The other giveaway to turn tail and run were the chairs, or lack of. Instead, there were stools which looked like something from a 5 year olds birthday party.

We opted for the Banquet meal, which was, again supposedly, tailor made for the diners. After asking us a few questions, I made quite clear that I was not a fan of cold seafood or shellfish (i.e oysters, lobsters, crab) - yet the waitress insisted that we eat it. (Probably old food that needed to be cleared out before it turned completely off me thinks?)

The courses were all Drenched in balsamic vinegar and oil, which they stated was 'XO sauce' or some other sauce it clearly wasn't. If you're going to serve duck with balsamic vinegar, then say 'Duck with Balsamic' - not 'Duck with "insert classy sauce here")

Overall, the dishes were quite measly, small, and the service was terrible. $250 between 2 people for poor food and enough wine to wash away the bad taste it left in my mouth (1 bottle of Verdhelo between two).

Not recommended.

First time here, surprisingly, but we will definitely be back. The sweet and sour sauce is to die for. Absolutely amazing service. Amazing value. Out of the entire Hills District and Inner West region, they are definitely the most affordable by far. Outstanding service. Helpful, observant, but not intrusive or pushy.

What is best about this place is the value I found. With other chinese restaurants or takeaway, it can become incredibly pricey. Not Golden West. They are affordable and very, very filling.

You even get Fortune Cookies at the end! Fortune Cookies! Nowhere else does fortune cookies anymore!

If you go to any chinese restaurant and you reside anywhere within or nearby to this locale, go here. Your chinese craving will be fully satisfied, I guarantee.

The food here is amazing, considering its 'take-away'. It may be a bit more pricey than your average fast food meal, but its healthier, more filling, and best of all, tastes 10 times better than other greasy nonsense you find elsewhere!

This local was a new try of mine. The pros:- Beautiful decor on the inside (Don't let the outside fool you), lovely service and some quite delicious mains that leave a pleasant aftertaste in your mouth. Their sweet and sour sauce is amazing and is not the typical pre-made packaged rubbish you find.

The downsides: - They rip you off blind if they can. Even though we went on boxing day, they claimed that the surcharge was only $4.00 a head. Instead, they ended up surcharging Every main item on the menu. For 3 people with entrees, mains and drinks, we ended up just over $180! If you're short on money and want a cheap bite, don't go here. If you've got money to blow, however, I highly recommend it.

This place may be a metaphorical diamond in the rough, but you certainly pay a diamonds value!

This really is a hidden gem. It's a tiny little place on Victoria Rd in Gladesville, very easy to miss, but the service is amazing. As soon as you enter in sit down, you are given chilled bottled water and complimentary corn chips with spicy salsa sauce. The ambience is nice, but not as good as the food - it's just mexican and spanish memorabilia strung up around the room. What really sets this place off the hook is its food. Massive servings, and they're absolutely delicious. We had to try the entree of the Pork Crockpot, which was awesome, but we couldnt finish the burritos which were huge - and they weren't even the largest ones on the menu! Definitely going back, and recommend it to anyone who can handle the spice of mexican food!

This is a fantastic restaurant and is a hidden gem. The ambience could be a little better, but it has a certain charming simplicity to it. What really stands out here though is the service and the food. The waiters and owner (at least I think he's the owner) goes out of his way to explain the dishes and the subtleties of the curries.

The Vindaloo here is unlike any Vindaloo I've ever had, it was absolutely extraordinary. Most Vindaloos are unbearably hot, but this was just amazing. Very, very affordable.

This is really a hidden gem. From the outside, Neelam might not seem like much but upon entering inside, the decor and furnishing of the restaurant is the first noticeable thing, making you think you've stepped into a high-class restaurant in New Dehli.

The service is quite good, albeit sometimes the waitresses can seem to be a bit chatty and might overlook your subtle glancing attempts for attention, but overall it can't be faulted.

The food - cannot be faulted. It can't. It just can't. In a banquet, the curries are refillable, so if you're in a large group and are very hungry, you're guaranteed to leave feeling full. The taste, spice, aroma and overall flavor leaves you wanting more and more.

Price is to be expected for the service and quality of food of Neelam, albeit it might seem high at glance. For 2 people, expect to pay anywhere between $50-70 for a solid 2-course meal.

Definitely worth a visit - it won't disappoint.

Came here for lunch at random and was pleasantly surprised. The food definitely lived up to our expectations, and the servings for the lunch menu were pleasantly sized. As for taste, the chicken cacciatore was a firework of flavor, going well with their delicious bruschetta. The service and appearance, especially the very eye-catching aquarium, was a nice touch. A well-rounded restaurant, recommended to all for any occasion.
