We eat here regularly and every time is a pleasure. The food is always excellent and they are very accommodating by altering the number of serves in an entree to suit the table.

The Pork Belly is fantastic as is the Barramundi but the whole menu is fresh and flavoursome. Service is great and BYO wine is always a winner.

We eat here often and are always pleased. The food is good and recently the specials have been great, you cannot go past the Beef and Guinness Pie!

The girls are always helpful and happy, and make your evening a nice one! The wine list is a little pricey for what it is but overall a good eat and a pleasant atmosphere.

We have eaten here a couple of times recently and have been impressed on ever occasion. A nice atmosphere, great service and really good European food - especially the Pork Knuckle. A definite recommendation for a nice evening out with friends.

4 of us ate here on Friday evening and it was a pure pleasure. The owners are so warm, welcoming and genuine and make you feel at home in no time.

The food and drinks are also fantastic; we started with a traditional Aperol Spritz for Aperitivo accompanied with antipasto, both of which were fresh and very tasty.

We ordered a mix of pizzas and pastas, which again were excellent, the pasta home made and perfectly cooked with some real southern Italian sauces and likewise for the pizzas, freshly made!

The location is off the main st (just off Great North Road) but well worth the find. We would definitely recommend Gatto Matto to all - great food, a nice setting and fantastic hospitality!

We visited here again after a while away last month with friends.

Overall a pleasant experience, the food is always good with fresh and vibrant flavours. BYO wine option is good as we brought a couple of excellent bottles and service was fairly good on this busy night (it never seems to be not busy). We were seated at the back which was fantastic as the front section can get very loud depending on who and how many are on the main table.

A dependable good option, sometimes a little on the pricey side but always great food.

As locals we were curious when this opened. We phoned the night previous to book a table, the lady on the phone said no need just come on down tomorrow they were not taking bookings.

We went down the night after to be greeted by a young women at the door who said - booking? We explained the conversation of the evening previous and she just said, 'we're full' This was just before 7.00pm with only 1 table seated. We inquired further as to whether a table would be possible if we were quick and out by 8.30 - No. Her attitude was hostile to say the least and outright rude.

As local residents who eat out at least twice a week we will not be back with an attitude like that, we went to somewhere else after who were more than happy to see us, even without a booking and looked after us impeccably as usual.

We have eaten here a number of times of the last few months and we also get take away on a regular basis.

This place was great to start off with but, unfortunately, has slipped downhill. The seating is so cramp and when full the noise is too much to talk across the table. But the worst part is the service, I have ordered take-away on the last 3 occasions and each time told it would be ready in 20 minutes, then on arrival you have to wait another 10 minutes, last time all the hot dishes were ready and then they left these on the side to go cold while waiting for the sushi to be prepared.

I endured the high prices for the convenience of the location and the pretty good standard of the food but no more. Samurai and Rozelle Sushi are both better options within 5 minutes.

Ok but nothing great. I took a friend here for lunch on a recommendation from someone else but not sure whether I would revisit. The service was fairly slow although the cafe was only half full and not really that friendly.

The food was ok, the prawn pasta was tasty but on the small side and the burger was again ok but nothing memorable, perhaps lacking flavour and presentation.

Not much to choose from for dessert at lunchtime and overall a fairly bland experience. With so much competition and choice in the area, there are other spots with better offerings for the money.

Still not sure what people see here. I have tried 3 times and been massively disappointed 3 times. It is chaotic to try and get served and even choosing some of the more expensive options did not work. $50 for some very average fish and chips with a tiny salad with rubbery calamari rings - not good. Sorry 3 strikes for me.

Eaten here a number of times over the last few months, mainly because it is close and convenient. It is always busy and the views are great. However the quality and presentation of food appears to be be going south.

The prices are high, more than pub prices for a club decor and used to be nearly worth it for simple well cooked dishes. However the quality is getting worse and the prices creeping up, a goof fish dish used to be $20 and now they are commanding nearly $30 for one of their fish dishes (with chips) The sides are ridiculously small and overpriced.

The club is still great for a beer and to take in the views but don't be greedy with your food.
