Hit and miss with the menu. Service is friendly and pleasant. It's not expensive either, but fried cartilage, the battered part was soggy. Monjya yaki was fun, but didn't taste great. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, so for that reason, I am happy to go back there to give it another try.

The food here is pleasant. When we came here a season ago, the seafood froth looking thing reminded me of smelly fish market and uncleaned aquarium, so it made me a bit sick. There was a trout entree and that wasn't fresh either as it had the fishy smell which fresh fish don't have, so those 2 dishes were disappointing, but other dishes were pleasant.
The service is quite pretentious, impersonal, they just state what the dishes are really quickly, giving the impression they don't want to be there and left quickly. When asked to repeat what they say (cus they really mumble it really quickly), they say it really quickly again and left. Overall experience was "rushed", "pretentious" and "impersonal". Back then, we thought we may go back there in a month or two time, but we hadn't been back and don't think we will.

The place is quite cramped, the staff kept bumping into the back of the chair, had to move chair for people getting in and out, which wasn't relaxing at all.
We had salad, 2 kinds of pasta, fruit for dessert and coffee. Pasta and coffee were pleasant, but the bowl of fruit was not fresh and had the tangy sour taste to it. It tasted like the fruit has been cut a week ago. Although the pasta and coffee were nice, we left with the sour, off fruit taste in our mouth, so, unfortunately, we will not go back.

Ordered A La Carte. The quality of the meat, we were impressed. Service, on the other hand, was disgraceful, especially for the amount that they are charging. I can see they treated us slightly better than the BBQ buffet customers, but there shouldn't be any difference in service. They also treat Japanese customers better too, so service wise, we were utterly disappointed. There are many good quality Japanese BBQ place with better service and value, so I won't hurry back here.

They don't answer their phones, ever, even when the restaurant is open. When they do decide to call back from their mobile, the woman was really rude, not wanting to answer questions, sighing loudly and making loud annoyed tones. That is why they never answer phone calls!? Because the woman gets annoyed so easily? If the "senior staff's" attitude is like this, imagine the staffs and the culture there.
The food is very Australianised, not authentic Thai, which is disappointing. Didn't see any Thai people eating here, so you go figure. Will not eat here again for sure.

It's your ordinary Japanese joint. We were the last one to go in, and as soon as we got in, the manager guy pointed at his watch to the waitress saying that the last order is in 10 minutes, which didn't make us feel welcome at all. They rushed us to eat, pay and leave. We got out before 10:20pm. Another couple went in just before 10pm, which is the last order time, and the sign still said open, but they got told it was closed by a waitress who were again instructed by the manager guy what to say in front of the customers. Teriyaki chicken didn't come with rice, it was rather salty and was just really ordinary, but on a pricey side. False advertising as it states on this site that it closes at 11pm and the door sign still said open, however they rushed us to eat as the bill came half way through our meal and when we paid, we were expected to leave straight away before our food had time to go down. Will not be back again.

Really disappointed with the service once again. First, was the rude phone manner when booking (had a French accent), then while we were at the restaurant as well. It ruins the atmosphere. For the price, it's appalling.

It' a traditional Japanese small family run Teishoku place. It's small inside and the decor hasn't been updated for a long time, but they are not trying to be something they are not, that's what we like.
The food is tasty and value for money. Katsu Curry is $9! Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen's soup is tasty too. Heart warming food. Took me back to Japan's corner restaurant.

We went there for lunch. Terrible Ramen and curry was horrible too. Ebi Gyoza (shrim dumpling) were salty, it should come with a caution sign "do not dip in any sauce". Now we know what it will be like for a white person who hasn't got much clue to open a Japanese /Asian inspired restaurant. Never again.

They have good meat. Very busy, so our requests and orders were forgotten 3 times, but the staffs were friendly.
Try Ox tongue, it's tender and juicy. We tried Yukke, which is raw beef with quail egg yolk, which was nice too. There's a time limit, so if you have a young toddler you need to feed pretty fast, it's not recommended.
