Dined before theatre and service was great -food delivered hot and at reasonable intervals. We had the mixed tapas and Sangria and could not fault the quality or quantity or portions. Good selection - the spachcock was supreme and I am a spachcock freak. Calamari perfectly cooked. The ambience is basic but you don't go for fine dining here - its good quality cafe style with good food.

We had a wonderful meal there but, unfortunately, there as a problem in the kitchen, or we were the last order to go in and we had to wait over an hour between entree and main. The waitress was aware of the delay and asked if we were prepared to have two dishes then another two later, we did but they didn't arrive until all four came at once. The waitresses were most apologetic and charming.
Thankfully the company we were with were understanding and when the food did arrive it was all worth the wait, absolutely divine. It would have been far better with a short break between dishes as it would have given us a chance to appreciate them even more so.
The black pepper salmon for entree was a Sashimi delight. The
Prawn Edamame, Sizzling Scallops and Mixed Seafood stirfry all were individual delights, each had their own individual flavour.
There were many items on the menu we want to try so we will be back and watch out we get our order in early. BYO Corkage is $4 pp but the wine list is reasonable.
We have since been back and the kitchen got it right this time. We had the grilled sirloin on eggplant - fantastic and tempura vegetables (huge serving) for entree followed by pork belly and smoked duck (brilliant). We were glad we went back and will do so again there are so many great dishes to try.

We ate here for lunch and found the food and service excellent, real Vietnamese.
The Tre Pancake entree was brilliant as was the mixed meat another Tre? in the main course. The meat was BBQ and salad delicious. Service was excellent with perfect breaks between dishes. Most reasonable cost for 2 entree and 1 main dish(without beer) $30.

Recently went for dinner. The food was great - there are some unusual and different dishes to the normal lists so we chose them and were very satisfied. Service great - we were early and the place was not busy but was filling up before we left - a goos sign. Food well presented and very tasty.

Have recently returned after a change of management and kitchen crew. The menu has been reduced I feel and the food not bad but not as good as it was before.
We ate upstairs and the noise etc fine. We had kids and they were able to move without annoying others - thats a plus.
This place could improve if they added a bit of sound proofing, we were there a night ago for dinner and so were 6-8 women who had started a lunch time I think. Their noise/screaming was deafening. We had to move outside due to the noise and so did many others, complaints to the staff were responded to with shrugs of the shoulders. Normal noise seems to echo as well. The top floor was a fancy dress party so that was a no go area as well. There were a few families there and their kids behaved perfectly.
Food was good and prices reasonable, If we do back it will be with ear plugs.

Nothing has changed as far as the Best seafood in Sydney. There are more tables now so it is a bit easier at lunchtime, book for the evening though its That popular.
I have been here frequently and love the food and everything else about it except for the lack of space for tables. I believe the council is about to increase the area as they have done for a nearby cafe. I am fed up with whingers who complain about hours of service here, everybody is entitled to some time off. How many customers would they get on a Saturday night anyhow. I am also firmly against any dog anywhere near where food is served and the dog fights under the tables. If it ever gets as bad as France god help us with dogs eating off the plates we maybe served food on.
The fish is fresh, very fresh. The chips crispy as they should be. The salads great, and I can get Sydney Rock oysters, not Pacific. We choose what we want from the cabinet and Frank cooks it the way we like -perfectly. I have even seen Keith Urban buying his fish there, it must be ok for Nicky and their family. Thanks Frank and Peter We will be regulars again as we were at Seafood Addiction.

Found this by accident, our regular was full so we tried Lazio. The coffee was perfect. We looked at the menu and it looked good for pasta etc. Tried it recently on a Friday night and were blown away - it was wonderful. The food was excellent and the service perfect, efficient and friendly. The prices were just right. BYO - and corkage reasonable.
We will be back for sure. Our kids shared a pasta plate and there was no problem with extra plates and cutlery. We booked and I would suggest it on Friday night. I have rated this for what it is, a Pasta bar and cafe, not a fine dining restaurant.

We read the reviews before going. Somehow after the event we feel we may have been at the wrong place. The food and service we received was perfect for lunch. We had the degustation with wines. Every dish seem to get better as the meal progressed. Yes the servings were average in size but the presentation and quality first class.
At the end of the 9 courses we received we were satisfied but not having to let out the belt and feel uncomfortable. The nibbles(4) served with coffee were amazing and the suggested (requested) order of consumption perfect. The wines were perfectly matched for each dish. The two outstanding dishes were the Duck Egg with black cabbage etc and the Wagyu the best I have ever had and I am not a wagyu fan.
The only slight problem was the French accent of the waiters but when asked to explain again they did with a smile. The sommelier was most helpful with his descriptions and explanations of the wines served and was prepared to discuss them with me. The wine selection was excellent.
Yes we enjoyed every moment and will go back and try the A la carte next time.
Have been to Bilsons and I believe this may have a slight edge.

We visited based on a recommendation and were not disappointed. The food is different, No seafood, the meat dishes are mainly lamb and beef and some chicken. This not your usual chinese restaurant no Beijing or Shanghai food here. I doubt if they have any cornflour in the place. That in itself is a plus.
We had the skewers, perfect.
Amongst the other dishes we had a fried rice which was great and not the usual stuff you get. The egg plant dish was excellent as well. The wait staff were most helpful and courteous and helpful because the dishes were different she suggested a couple and we were not disappointed, the hand made noodles were one as was the egg plant. We will be back, there are a lot we need to try and the quality is high and tasty and different. Our meal of 5 dishes cost $80 for 4. BYO as well no licence.

Not wanting to visit Lygon St again we tried Brunswick St for a change. Not being really impressed with the places available we decided on the most unusual place we could find with an 'interesting' menu and were not dissapointed. The food was interesting and tasty. Our only problem was we over ordered and left about 20% of it because we were full. My suggestion would be to order two dishes and side serves for three people and share. Entres were great and the mains very tasty. The place was filling before we left and service was slowing down due to either a slow kitchen or lack of staff. Prices were right for the food and service, ambience was interesting but low key. We enjoyed it and would go back next time we are in Melbourne looking for a good feed and interesting evening at reasonable prices.
