Lovely vista but don't bother with their Groupon/Spreets type offers. They claimed our meal for two was worth $112 (we paid $39) but then typed '$19 value' into the till when we arrived and supplied a single bowl of prawns and mussels to share plus two glasses of wine.
There were no accompaniments, literally just prawns and mussels! Unless soggy lettuce counts. There were a few leaves in the sauce, squashed under the finger bowl which they had put In the sauce in the middle of the bowl! There was also some plain white bread that they had dried to a bland crisp in the oven.
The very limited service (we had to collect our own meals and cutlery) was surly. Not impressive at all and a long, long way from the advertised $112 value. Lovely outlook though. Certainly worth a visit for a snack or a drink and the view. Just don't expect much more.

We ate here using a voucher we were given, which translated into excellent value and even some waste as we could not eat everything! There was a lot of food for the price.
The quality was good food-wise and the service also fine. The location lends atmosphere all by itself, being on the waterfront in the old buildings.
Ordinarily it's expensive though! It's probably worth the occasional visit for the characterful venue and good food.

We loved this place! We were fortunate to receive great value as we purchased a voucher. Ordinarily it would be a moderate to highish priced restaurant.
The atmosphere is pleasant, the service efficient and professional, and the food worth a second and third visit. One dessert in particular is a standout, I forget its name but it's a chocolate pudding to die for, earning a place in my top five most delicious desserts tasted in the past 25 years. I intend to go back just for that!

This is worth a visit just for the location. It's very beautiful and right on the water. We only had afternoon tea type fare so cannot comment about main dishes, but what we had was nice enough. No complaints.
The serving staff spoke almost no English, which was surprising and made things very tricky, but they were as charming and helpful as they could be within that limitation. Oddly, for a high priced venue, customers are required to crowd around the tuck shop counter to order and pay.
The one standout surprise, though, was the incredible rudeness of one man who also served us. He gave the impression of hating his job, his life and, especially, his customers! He was hostile and very rude to a small child for no discernable reason, which positively blew us away. We were talking about that for a week afterwards, instead of about the lovely place!

What a unique and enjoyable experience Miss Marley's was!
The meal was by far the most unique, tasty and high quality that we have had in a very long time. We were very impressed. The mix of service styles from the chatty Yorkshire girl to the graciously formal French chef was a real treat too.
For a variation on everyday cafes/restaurants, great food and the most remarkably imaginative cocktail list you've ever seen, we certainly recommend it.

I am surprised by how poor the food was at Jonah's and cannot understand its reputation. The portions were very small indeed for the money. I could have lived with that had the flavours been commensurate, but the duck was extremely dry and so salty as to mask any flavour and actually render it inedible.
The salad was no better, being bland, bitter and with a very unspecial dressing.
I am ordinarily a very good eater and not fussy, but I actually left much of this tiny meal on my plate. It really is hard to understand how even an average kitchen staff could make something as universally delicious as duck into a negative eating experience! If it had not been a special event organised by others I would have made an issue of paying for this very poor meal.
I eat out a lot so I have plenty to compare this with. I now wish we had gone to a local cafe rather than spending a small fortune on such disappointing, dare I say, bad - fare.
I should mention, though, that our lady server was absolutely excellent. She was very knowledgeable and an extremely polished serving professional.
