We had the buffet last night and it was delicious, healthy food. We really enjoyed it. I would have liked to have been able to bring or buy some wine but no big deal. The staff are perfect. A lot of more expensive Sydney restaurants could learn something from these guys. It cost us $23 each for buffet and a ginger beer, that's ok but I was expecting it to be cheaper. Still reasonable value though given the quality of the food and the ambience of the restaurant.

This simply has to be one of the best cafes in Sydney. Whenever my daughter scores a goal in soccer we reward her with lunch at sideways. Great coffee, delicious food. Don't be discouraged by the crowd. You usually get a table pretty quickly and the service is surprisingly fast.

I had dinner here with two vegetarian friends on Friday and went back with my family on Saturday to try some of the meat dishes. The really outstanding thing about Celinis is the service. The staff are really lovely. The dips and meze plates are excellent as is the manti which is a Turkish pasta made of a small square of pasta with a meat filling topped with garlic yoghurt sauce. Really good. I'm told the seafood platter is great value too. Probably a good idea to reserve a table as this place seems to be getting very popular. Finish up with Turkish coffee and baklava, I think it was the best baklava I've ever had.

This is the best Indian food in the area. If you go with a few friends you can have a real feast at a very reasonable price. Staff are nice and friendly.

Le Depot is the best cafe in the area. Unfortunately, too many people have discovered it so it's often rather crowded. The baguettes are delicious as are the quiches and the desserts. Excellent coffee. The staff are really nice. We had some catering from there last week and everyone was very impressed. There was a fantastic Morrocan salad and one of my colleagues said it was the best cous cous he'd ever had. Highly recommended.

I had a very disappointing experience here. They were out of croissants so I asked if they had anything else I could put jam and whipped cream on. A blank look greeted this question. I suggested scones as an example of what I was looking for you and was told that they were a French bakery as though I was some sort of imbecile.

In the end I asked for some sweet rolls, after waiting an age for them to put them in a bag I was rudely told they only accepted cash. Mind you I'd been holding my visa card in front of them the whole time. I walked out and took my custom elsewhere.

We had dinner at Bodhi on the opening night of the Sydney Festival. Needless to say it was pretty busy and the poor waiters were run off their feet. Our first order arrived promptly enough but it was so yummy we wanted more! Things got a bit chaotic after that but the food and location make up for it. Maybe they need to put some more staff on when it's going to be a busy night. This is a really special place, great for a date or to entertain guests from overseas.

This place looks a lot cleaner than most of the Chinese restaurants in Ashfield. The food is reasonable, some of the dishes are a bit expensive. The dumplings aren't as good as http://www.eatability.com.au/au/sydney/chinese-noodle-restaurant/ but they are ok.

Excellent food, very good value. Even the wine list is pretty cheap. The service is excellent. It's a bit like going to an Italian family home for dinner but the cooking is particularly excellent. Only problem is it can be noisy if a large raucous group is dining there when you visit. This is one of the few places in Leichhardt you can still get good Italian food.
