Not a bad place for a drink and cake with a girlfriend however, I have been for a late lunch/early dinner and the service is terrible. It would be nothing to have 4 staff on with 3 tables in the restaurant and it still takes 10mins to receive a glass of water or a simple soft drink. Meals are adequate size, nothing to rave about but a good place if you wanted a casual thing with friends!

I enjoy dining at Ashcotts especially for their light lunch, pot and parma and steak day. I think it's good value, the atmosphere is friendly. The service is on the slower side, but friendly smiles I find made up for it.
My only complaint would be the consistency. One time I order a parma that was huge, so the next time we ordered two meals to share between 3 of us and the portions were a lot smaller??? Overall though, excellent value for money in comparison to the rest of the restaurants in Berwick!

Absolutely wonderful place to dine, have been here on many occasions and every time is as good as the last. Holding a birthday party, they calculate the bill individually based on seat numbers rather than table numbers. All around fantastic service with delicious meals!

Had my 21st birthday as a function here, the food provided was of an adequate standard, slightly on the cool side considering I had a seafood platter??? Service at McDonalds would have been better. Apart from taking good care of my uncle in a wheel chair, the lady behind the bar did not crack a smile for the entire night and was serving champagne by the half glass and charging for a full.
When we went to make an official complaint a week later, achieved nothing as we found out it was the "Functions Manager" that we were making a complaint about! Making sense why champagne was being filled by the half glass! The other lady working on the night was telling my guests what the bar tab was up to, a lack of training for such a big event perhaps? It made sense why we were able to get this venue at such short notice!
