I thought I'd try something new in Melbourne and went to North Melbourne for a change. I'm glad I did as I sampled a great coffee at Errols which delivered a great hit on both the latte and the espresso, nice service made it even better experience, behold I might have a new favourite in Melbourne.

Hit Cafe, Dee Why

I thought to try something different on the Northern beaches so I went to Hit Cafe in the walkway of the plaza. Pleasantly surprised as this place is great all round. As always I just tried the coffee in the takeaway latte form which by the way was fabulous. Nice service with plenty of smiles. Reminds me of Melbournian coffee scene.

First time here so just a quick review, nice set up, nice service, nice coffee. Got a take away flat white and was pleased with the results. Quick and prompt service.

I used to come more often before the tourist waitresses took over. Service is still ok but the pricing might vary from waitress to waitress and it gets confusing abit to say the least. The Primo coffee on offer is good and delivers a nice hit.

My best mate told me about JT's and I had to check out the rave reviews, true to form JT's is a top place to get your fix. Friendly atmosphere, cool tunes, friendly and direct service and the prices are the best in Coogee. Nice blend too
I have to say I saw Jeremmy Sims as well, enjoying his coffee.

Caffe Duomo, Melbourne

Brilliant location. I love the coffee society atmosphere that these little caffes produce, they are like littered with people practically hanging off door hinges yet everybody is served with a coffee in the hand. All the surrounding laneways were like a maze for us Sydney siders but once we found Duomo we finally settled in. Great practical service and excellent prices for an inner city caffe.

Everything was great but again I have to point out how much the coffee quality is better in Sydney. All in all the coffee was good and fair. Best thing about Duomo is the atmosphere and ambience. Paris like for sure.

First time at Freepour today, got a takeaway flat white just in order to check out the new joint and the alfresco seating. Service was nice and friendly, and my coffee was good and strong. Will be back even though parking is a worry.

I checked out Arch Cafe as a friend gave me great reviews. Very nice coffee and very nice service indeed. I love these types of urban cafes that offer so much vibe and spirit in todays society, typically I had a latte followed by an espresso and all in great time and surprise I didn't order anything to eat. Good and honest service is appreciated and its great to see coffee coming straight of the assembly line so to speak.

Katipo is definitely one of the more serious coffee houses in the super uber Bondi. The coffee is always more than good and fresh as its made with effort and consistency every time. I won't comment on the food aspect but I must add that Katipo is always busy for lunch or at least everytime I've been around. Fair and simple courteous service with plenty of smiles. I guessI can say I'm a local as I'm there at least once a week.

Overall a positive note on Francois Pastries. I popped in to get a pastry of some sort and ended up trying the house espresso. Very fair coffee indeed. Service was fast, all smiles and welcoming and most importantly friendly.
Sure to pop in next time I am near Star City :)
