As a cafe, I don't rate this place particularly highly. I came here on a week day morning, and while they took my coffee order straight away, they took forever to take my breakfast order, despite the fact that the place is tiny, and they could see I'd finished reading the menu. They made no effort to check back in with me, and see if I'd like anything more, like another coffee, and made me feel like I was intruding upon their fun a bit - which isn't how a customer wants to be made to feel. The food itself, however, was really lovely. Have been here for wines before, and the service was better.

Le Petit Cafe, Coogee

I used to be a local to this cafe, patronising it regularly. The coffee is great, and I love that they heat up your croissant for you - which are usually awesome (and occasionally a little stale). The cafe has a really nice feeling to it, despite being too small to swing a cat. The only serious downfall to this place is the price - it's pricey for what it is - and the lack of friendly service - in that sense it's rather authentic French! I went here all the time, and they were never particularly friendly, which I found disappointing.

Redleaf Pool Cafe, Double Bay

The location is amazing; it captures the morning sun, and has beautiful views over the harbour. The food is ok, pretty run of the mill - a little bit like a cafe that you find at the bottom of an office building, which is a bit of a disappointment, because this place has so much potential. The service is very laid back - no fussing over you - but they are friendly enough when you do ask for service (although I'm not a big fan of having to ask to order etc).
