Zumbos creativity is thoroughly let down by extremely arrogant and indifferent staff. I have stopped going there after being disrespected by kids behind the counter. If these guys ever read this, look up "borrowed social capital". Yes it is made up 3 independent words and it s a social theory which states that people without talent try to bask inother peoples glory. Seriously, paying $9 for a piece of cake and attitude to boot. No thanks.

Went on a Thursday for a mid week dinner. Warm greeting upon arrival: good sign. When I commented that to the waitress that her uniform was unique, she harrumphed. Not a good sign. Leaving used cutlery and not replacing them in time for mains: not a good sign. Leaving 2 empty wine glasses on the table for the duration of the meal. Really not a good sign. I found the food being let down by chaotic (and dumb) service.

I hate it when wait staff refuse to write down the order, tries to commit the order to memory and invariably gets it wrong. Why punish me when you have poor grey matter. Our waitress wanted to show off her mental prowess, and of course, one of the sides were forgotten.

Food wise: The portions are pretty robust and the dessert can give you a cardiac arrest due to its size. It is on the pricey side but nothing an entertainment card cannot fix. Will I come back? Yes, and I will ask for the waitress to removed and dessert serving to be halved.

I came here with a spreets voucher and was quite worried that voucher equals bad food and bad service. I was wrong on both counts. Though y only gripe is that they wanted to charged cake-age if I brought birthday cake, its a $5 pp charge. Everything was pretty good though that being said.

Had to to come for the cajun croc and 400 gram rib loin. The cajun croc, my first croc, tasted like chicken when warm, and when cold, tasted like reptilian mud brackish water. 24 hours later, I can still smell it in my breath! The rib loin was really nice, accompanied with onion rings.

The beers are the thing going for this place and the service is pretty good if a little distracted. The room was stuffy and too noisy, so not ideal for dinner really. Will I come back for a meal? No. Will I come back for beer? Yes.

One word: yum-lah!

The selection is great and the authenticity, about 99.9% there. Had the laksa, tofu bakar/goreng and the rendang and roti which came to a grand total of $51, with the addition of 2 teh tariks. The chef brought the laksa out and you could see how proud he was of it, and so he should. It is the best laksa ever. Parking is a breeze and the staff, so accommodating with my idiosyncratic ordering (less noodles, more beansprouts, extra belacan, prawns only etc etc). Will I be back, mestilah (malay for of course!)

Love it! The food, the service and the price is unbeatable. Here is a place where they care about the food. I had to think hard if I wanted to share this. Well I did, now go!

Wow this was rather disappointing. We went on a monday, on a whim and got a table immediately. But when we tried to move the table to enable my partner to sit down, we were immediately barked at by a waitress "you can't move the table". Well how are we supposed to get into our seats. I was tempted to leave there and then. Table nazi was nowhere to be seen for the entire evening.

We had the crackling and witlof which was ok, the blood pudding, which was ok, the york puds which was ok, corned beef which was ok and lamb which was ok. With an overall ok rating, I wasn't expecting much with the dessert. But the bread and butter pudding really did excel.

Would i return......no. Maybe for supper when no one else is open. Maybe.

I enjoyed every single dish and the salad was so generous. The sangria was made there and then and was even better than El Bulli. The service was great, even though the pizza maker, Mustafa, certainly had a personality bypass. I would certainly come back again.

Just beware that their garlic prawns is creamy and not the clear chilli garlic oil that one normally gets.
