I used to looooove this place but since the new owners have taken over the food is terrible. I had lamb and feta salad that was unseasoned and the sinew was still on the lamb, there were 3 pieces of feta. My friend had salmon which was overcooked dry and again unseasoned and the mash was literally squashed potatoes with no seasoning or binding. Very very disappointing I won't be going back.

I'm a local and very loyal to the fat goose next door But I decided to finally give L'anxaneta a go, the breakfast was fantastic! So we went back for dinner, now I am torn I think its great but still love the Goose, so I think I'll just alternate. Both have great food and service its just like when cafe N1+6 and Lizottes was here!

We had a lovely lunch here. The service was quick and it was quite busy. The food was fantastic, well presented and tasted brilliant. I will be back for sure!

We had a lovely ladies day lunch here. The food was fabulous as was the service. Our only issue was the air con wasn't working and it was a very hot day but thats no one's fault its just one of those unfortunate things that can happen. Thank you I'll be back!

Went here for Melbourne Cup day and with a $105 (no drinks) set menu I was expecting so much more. The food was average, we had a grumpy waiter and the event poorly organised they were only just doing the sweeps as the race began. It was also advertised as "Big screen TV" - it was a small plasma. Then they have the hide to charge 10% "gratuity", since when did we have to pay for "gratuity" in Australia. I am more than happy to leave a good tip but when the service was bad I don't think I should have to! Won't be going back too soon.

Great cheap steaks from Mon to Thurs. Don't expect anything too flashy as its a pub. The bar tender is a bit disracted with locals but the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and rested well, the portion size generous and its cheap! Having frequented the other local pub for $10 steak nights I can say the steak is cooked better and is of better quality here.

I really want to write a bad review on this place to keep everyone away from it but it is sensational. The food was sooo good, I had the Yamba prawn tart and the pastry was so crumbly and light YUM my friend had the scallops which were equally sensational. For mains I had the lamb which was cooked perfectly. The service is great too they are very nice and friendly staff. I will be going back, in fact I have already booked it again.

Cabana is great for a lazy lunch especially if the sun is out. The food is quite good but they tend to overcook meat so always order it under what you normally like. Food from the BBQ is pretty good and super fast especially when the big red haired chef is on. Pizza is great especially the pumpkin one. If you go as a big group order individually as its served quicker.

13/1/09 Overprice miserable place! I don't even think the oily food was lebanese inspired, more turkish. I have never had such dry tasteless tabouli! Never going back.

8/4/09 Ok so I decided to give it another go. Nothing has changed its not very nice at all and totally overpriced. I will not try again.
