Not really sure why we have not tried before, pleasantly surprised. Looking for something different in the area other than the usual Thai/Indian and the Entertainment Voucher was a bonus! We stuck to the garlic bread, chicken risotto and carbonara and really enjoyed everything, service was excellent. BYO always a winner and good coffee to end the night.

Visited over the Christmas break to check out the refurb. Upstairs is quite impressive, the food and drinks are not. My partner had the token burger which was okay but nothing special. I opted for the Chicken Pad Thai, again okay but there was something missing. This place should really knock the socks off, good position, nice refurb etc. Failed to impress.

First bad review in a long time, table of 6 squashed between the 4 deep at the bar and outside smokey area, could have put up with it if we had decent food, alas was not to be. Pizza's are terrible and if I had not been starving I would not have eaten the half of it I did. Calamari, bruschetta and arancini balls were all edible but certainly not worth the money. Awesome pub, don't waste any cash eating here.

Fantastic! Group of 10 had a brill night upstairs on Saturday. Shared a couple of share plates as an entree then all ordered mains. Share plates are pretty small. Steak on a stick and duck were the standouts. Enjoyed an Irish coffee for dessert - perfect. Highly recommended BYO joint with outstanding food.

What started so well ended with disappointment! Gorgeous garlic bread and the raved about duck rice paper rolls were lovely as a shared starter. My partner and I both had the eye fillet, mine was sent back as a medium to well does not have blood on the plate, it was quickly cooked further. I don't have an issue with that, however, the meat looked like it had been boiled or something there was hardly any 'grilling' and it lacked flavor.

I thought I'd give the dessert a go but was equally disappointed as a walnut date pudding was more like a muffin, the butterscotch sauce was lovely though.
Meal for two with a few drinks (and the Entertainment card) was just over $80.
Agree with the comments below, they need to revamp the menu, it's out of date.
Won't be rushing back.

Recent visit to Canberra saw us lucky to get into La Scala last minute. I was expecting better given the place was packed. We shared some bread to start that was pretty ordinary - too crusty for our taste. My chilli veal was quite nice but my partners steak was pretty much cold and not the best cut - dissapointing.

As an out of towner - would not recommend.

Second visit with the Entertainment Voucher, great Thai food. Usual Chicken satay to start and Massaman beef, decided on the Eggplant, basil, chicken mince with chilli special, divine but too hot for my partner. BYO charged for 2 even though only one drinking wine whilst the other had a house spirit. Not the cheapest in the area but one of the more interesting.

Excellent service to start with but it dwindled a bit as they got busier. Excellent Massaman Beef and Chicken Pad Thai. Will be back to try a Thai Pizza.

We have eaten here 2-3 times over the past 12 months and have always enjoyed the food. The service is excellent and staff more than knowledgeable. Only quip this time was that the Lamb Roganjosh was very mild (when described as medium).

Awesome Indian and always consistent. Enjoyed the onion bahji, butter chicken and beef dish that I can't remember the name of all of high quality. Service was great even on a busy Saturday night.
