From the outside it looks like an ordinary cheap-and-cheerful Chinese restaurant, but the long queues outside are a giveaway. The food is of great quality and comes in huge serves, so in terms of pricing it's actually quite good value for money. We are relatively unfamiliar with Sichuan food, so really appreciated our waitress being very helpful and willing to give us advice on which dishes would most suit our tastes.

We ended up having the deep friend whole barramundi (1 chilli rating) and the pork with crispy rice cakes (0 chilli rating), both were fantastic. Make sure you book ahead or go really early because they are so popular.

Went here for the first time a few days ago. The lunch special is quite good value, $8.90 for a very large serve of any of a limited selection of noodle and curry dishes. I had the cashew nut noodle which was quite nice though not outstanding. Others in the group highly recommended the chilli basil noodle.

Have been here for yumcha a few times as the quality and range of food is considerably better than the other yumcha restaurants in the local area. The prices are definitely higher than usual ($20 pp minimum) and I suspect the really unusual dishes may only be available on weekends when you have to wait to get a table. However, the lady who issues the tickets seems pretty experienced at estimating the wait time so you can wander around the shops to fill in the time.

This last time the yum cha dishes included a mini mudcrab in ginger and shallots (really nice but probably very expensive) and an absolutely fantastic new dessert, mango sago, highly recommended, and everyone in our group voted it the best yumcha dessert by far.

We had two of the dishes on the specials list, spatchcock and duck. Both were very nice. The spatchcock serve size looked considerably larger than the duck, but the person who had the duck said this was just because the duck had been deboned and that his portion size was more than adequate.

My main whinge about this restaurant is the difficulty in avoiding 2nd-hand cigarette smoke, as there are only a few tables indoors and they are separated from the outdoors by folding glass doors which do not keep out the smell, or the exhaust from passing traffic. The limited indoor space is also quite noisy.

At busy times one or two of the staff appear a little flustered, but they are not rude, just distracted.

I chose to dine at Tiffany Thai tonight because it was one of only four restaurants in the Chinatown stretch of Gouger St which were crowded at 8:30 this evening (a Wed) and there were a couple of dishes I had never seen on a Thai restaurant menu before. And certainly the young waiter and waitress were helpful and friendly, the decor comfortable and clean, and there was a $22 entree-and-main special available.

Unfortunately, these generally positive points could not make up for the totally abysmal quality of the food. I chose the 'Salt and Pepper Chicken with Mango', which I thought sounded unusual. It turned out to be slightly overcooked battered pieces of chicken in a mild flavourless curry sauce. Any mango content was undetectable (as was the S&P). Someone had added cashews which at least tasted all right, but didn't save the dish.

Perhaps, in Adelaide crowded restaurants are to be avoided.

Although the food is Ok, I will never go to this restaurant again, the service is unbelievably terrible. I arrived there in the middle of lunchtime, the restaurant was reasonably full but most people were already halfway through their meal or about to finish. Only a few people arrived after me so it should not have taken very long for the two dumpling dishes (one to eat there, one as takeaway) I ordered to be cooked.

However, 35 minutes after ordering, nothing had arrived so I eventually was able to flag down a waitress to ask why. She wandered down to the kitchen, stuck her head in to talk to them, then wandered off to the other end of the restaurant and stayed there for ages, never bothered to come back and tell me what was happening. It then took me another 5 minutes to get the attention of another staff member, this despite the fact that I was sitting right next to a door through which waiters and waitresses kept walking every 10 seconds.

The 2nd waitress actually did come back after talking to the kitchen staff and said that the food was almost ready, surely I could wait another 5 minutes? At the 45 minute mark still nothing had appeared so I joined the queue at the cash register ready to leave. It was not until I had gotten to the front of the queue that the missing dishes eventually emerged, close to 50 minutes after the order was placed.

I'm surprised by the negative reviews below. We went here the other night and ordered garlic bread and octopus for entree and prawn/scampi ravioli, salmon and lamb rack for mains. The mains were lovely, the baby octopus was a bit chewy, but the accompanying salad had a lovely sweet flavour. Service was good and it's in a good location at Norton Plaza with 2 hrs free parking. A little on the expensive side but reasonable value with an Entertainment Book discount.

We have been here several times for breakfast, lunch, dinner and takeaway pizza. The food has always been nice, although there are a few stand-out dishes. The lamb shanks on the current dinner menu are really lovely, very tender and tasty. There was a tasting dish on the summer lunch menu which was also excellent value and quality. If you feel like takeaway pizzas, they have a great happy hour special (2 classic pizzas for the price of 1) between 5 and 6 daily.

The restaurant looks a bit small from the outside but there are quite a few seats further back. The outdoor area is relatively small but otherwise it is a very pleasant restaurant.

Good service and fantastic food at extremely reasonable prices, and a nice view. I had the quails -amazing value at $22.50 for three quails, lovely Mediterranean-flavoured vegetables and wonderful chips which stayed crunchy for the entire hour that it took me to get through the huge serving.

A friend and I went there for dinner on Friday. We had 2 entrees (samosas and tandoori prawns), 2 mains (chicken saagwhalla and fish moulis curry) and a double serve of rice - total price $69 which we paid for using a "$29 for $70" voucher that I had obtained beforehand through Our Deal. The samosas were so-so, the tandoori prawns and fish curry were nice and the chicken really good.

Unfortunately the service failed to match the quality of the food. Although there were only 2-3 tables in use when we arrived and in fact the restaurant was never full all night, it took the staff a good 5 minutes to decide which table we could have. There was a wait of 20 mins between ordering and the samosas, then another wait till the prawns arrived, and finally a gap of over an hour before the mains showed up - close to 2.5 hrs after we first sat down. The staff ignored us so we had to flag them down twice to remind them about our mains but never received a satisfactory answer and no one bothered to apologise for the long delay.

The slow service was made worse by the way the waitresses kept hustling us to finish each course so they could take the plates away. The staff also demanded we hand over our voucher as soon as we had ordered, then asked for it again when they brought the bill at the end of the night; when we explained that they had already got it, the waitress snapped back at us and stormed off to consult with the head waitress who presumably told her they did indeed have our voucher - but of course there was no apology for that either.

I definitely would not recommend eating here because of the terrible service. Prices were a bit expensive for what you got so I wouldn't recommend it for takeaway either.
