Thank God for AFL Footy Finals, makes getting into a decent restaurant on a Friday all too easy. And it was a decent restaurant, although I thought far from the 8.8 average rating on eatability. Saganaki entree was good but way too big and 'lonely' in it's mini-frypan. Scallops were fine but just that ... fine. Souvlaki was tender, but a pity we were told it came with only a small salad (so ordered veges and fries) only to find it came with spuds and other bits and pieces.

The lamb cutlets looked spectacular on their long oblong plate, but were surprisingly un-Greek in their actual taste. Solid meal, but none too special. As new arrivals on the Melbourne restaurant scene we're hoping for a better Greek experience next time.

Having just moved from Sydney, we stumbled 'innocently' into Lau's FK completely by pure luck. Our experience started with an effusive welcome and enthusiastic explanation of the menu with a promise to reserve the last Pork Belly entree if we were keen and we were! Every bit of our meal was expertly prepared and lovingly presented, and the Big personality staff just kept on coming.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience and, whilst we were 'outside' due to the restaurant being full at 21:30 on a Sunday evening, that very fact speaks for itself. Will have to wait to experience the 'industrial chic' interior decor next time and there most assuredly will be a next time.

My wife and I dined here on the spur of the moment on a Sunday evening. As locals, we had been looking forward to experiencing the cuisine as it promised an authentic Italian dining experience. How disappointing then, to find the veal cutlet meal presented as a re-heated offering, with the overcooked cubed carrot indistinguishable from the overheated cubed potato. The cutlet itself was overcooked and dry and was not presented well on the plate and that was circa $30.00.

My wife had the calamari and onion rings which would have been sorely disappointing if you had bought it at a local fish and chip shop. Heavily crumbed and over cooked, it was about as close to an Italian dining experience as any tourist trap you'd like to nominate.

In a position where we could throw a stone and hit twenty better restaurants from Caffe Sicilia, we just won't be back. Maybe we were there on the wrong night, or experienced the fill-in chef, we wanted to like it as the place looks good and is in a great location but we just couldn't. Give me Pazzo just down the road anytime!
