Mezza Lebanese Grill, Brunswick East, VIC    Add to list
Lebanese, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern Restaurant

Overall             Highly Recommended
Food 10 Ambience 9 Service 10 Value 10

I was down in Melbourne from Sydney recently and luckily came across Mezza as another restaurant I had intended to visit had its doors closed for lunch whilst falsely advertising that they did lunch trade which I was not happy about. I really went out of my way to get there, but there is always a positive from every negative and wasn't Mezza a hidden gem.

It was one of the best Middle Eastern meals I have had in a long time, and I really really loved the owners hospitality and attitude as it felt like someone was welcoming you into their own home. I would have loved to have seen the restaurant during dinner trade, as the owner did tell me they were fully booked, so I would have loved to have seen the atmosphere.

The falafel with tahini sauce is as good as I have had anywhere and that includes in the Middle East, eg Dubai, etc.

Melange . Cafe . Restaurant, Gordon, NSW    Add to list
Modern Australian Restaurant

I came to melange last night for the degustation night and was amazed to walk into a restaurant at full capacity out in the suburbs. The atmosphere and ambiance was beautiful as the place was buzzing.

My friend and I were greeted by the charming host and ushered to a private area/function space to allow for some intimacy. Following a short time, the courses began and the tastebuds went into overdrive as dish after dish came out with each and everyone as good as the other. This was followed with dessert and tea and I would have to rate this cinnamon based pear fritter with custard as one of the best desserts I have had. What a great night!!! I can't wait to come back again.

Cine San Marco, Moore Park, NSW    Add to list

From the reviews below it seems like cine is a bit of a mixed bag, but it’s been pretty good the times I have been there. I stick to the pizzas most of the time and must say the meat lovers is scrumptious. The only disappointing thing is they don't have a red wine that I use to have here on my previous visits.

Victoria Room, The, Darlinghurst, NSW    Add to list
Mediterranean, Middle Eastern Restaurant

Very impressive all round not to mention its like they grabbed all of Sydney's prettiest people and put them in one room. The food is served tapas style, so its really cool. You can order steak and fish as mains and still share as they slice it in portions. Desserts are great too, the wine list could be a bit better though.
