Good atmosphere but fairly average thai food. Entrees were obviously pre-frozen but mains were fresh. Wouldn't go out of the way to get there but locals wouldn't avoid it. Probably slightly over priced for quality.

Went there on the weekend for yum cha as we do every so often. The food is always fresh and served hot with the steamed dumplings always the favourite and the prawn rolls are a must. BBQ pork buns pretty good so are the rest of the traditional yum cha staples. The salt and pepper crab is usually good but unfortunately, this time it was completely inedible due to the off puting stench. For dessert, fans of the custard tart or mango pancake won't be disappointed. On a most important side note, be aware that we have come close to near starvation rage, while waiting for almost half an hour, for food to come out of the kitchen.

The sherry on arrival made us feel instantly welcome and we couldn't resist getting stuck into the freshly baked bread the minute it hit the table. Having never tried snails or brains before we can't compare them to anything but they were definitely worth a taste although I was expecting the snails to be served in the shell. The mains were extemely tasty and the serving were generous.

The only problem was we didn't have spare room for dessert so will have to go back again! BYO is a bonus (and no corkage). Try and get a seat facing away from the road and you'll probably enjoy the ambience a little more. This restaurant is probably more of a cold weather place. Take a bottle of red and enjoy the hearty food. The waitstaff need to be a little more attentive when it comes to delivering the bill. It took us about 20 mins and we had to ask 3 times.

Wharfy's is a great place but only because the location is a little unexpected. The cafe itself is old and tired and could do with a make over even if it is only minor. The decor is very uninviting and the kitchen could do with a good clean. The menu is not bad for a breakfast/snack/very casual lunch, but, unfortunately, the food itself isn't fab.

Don't order a burger if you're expecting a traditional aussie treat, no beetroot and very "homestyle" paddy with tasteless cheese. Infact all the food is presented and tastes a little on the homestyle side, like I said, if it wasn't for the quirky location and the friendly owners, you'd probably just eat before you left home.

Went there with a group of 14 for a business lunch. The only problem we encountered as a group was what to choose because everything looked so good! Everyone was completely satisfied by their meals and the service could not be faulted.

The food was brought to the table quickly which is perfect for a business lunch. All had three courses and not a morsel was left on a single diners plate. The lemon meringue pie was delicious. Although our experience was great, this restaurant wouldn't be recommended for an intimate dinner for two as the ambience for a romantic dinner isn't quite suitable.
