I used to love going to this café, friendly service, tasty food and good coffee. The last time I went there, the service was slow and "uninterested", and the coffee luke warm and a bit lacklustre. Where has all the usual staff gone?

I held my birthday here on a Saturday night. It is a three level venue, very funky and interestingly decorated. We were on the top level, which has an outside rooftop area. There are heaters and covers, so don’t be deterred by the drop in temperature.
Even before arriving, the staff were very friendly and helpful with food and drinks selection (thanks Alicia!). This is not one of those places where you get “free” venue hire and then have to spend exorbitant amounts at the bar.
Even though they were busy, being a Saturday night, I had use of a separate area for the entire time we were there. The pizzas ordered were very tasty, reasonably priced, and we did not have to wait ages for them to arrive.
The bar staff were friendly and quick. It seems like they have a lot of “ground” staff – empty drinks, plates and ashtrays are removed quickly. The drinks are a little on the expensive side, but for me the value is made up in terms of ambience and service. I can not commend them highly enough! Hats off to the new small bars of Sydney!

The food at this restaurant is out of this world. We ordered pork and veggie dumplings for starters. As you pass by the kitchen you can see they are being made on the spot. They were really fresh and tasty. We had a whole barramundi, salted crab, duck and fried tofu for mains.
Although all the dishes looked and tasted amazing, the duck was my favourite and I would highly recommend it. Watch out for the portion size though, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! Yes, there are plastic chairs and the ambience is not “romantic”, but the great food, authenticity, and quick delivery are what make this place a must visit.

I had a Sunday lunch here with a group of people after reading good reviews of the place. The positives are cheap beer and quick friendly service. These positives are very heavily outweighed by the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the place.
The prices are low but the food is terrible. The chicken schnitzel consists of a chunk of dry chicken with a slap of soggy haloumi on top. A friend ordered the arancini, it was completely frozen on the inside. The accompanying salads are nothing that can’t be knocked up in your home kitchen in 2 minutes. The starter salt and pepper calamari is a bed of lettuce sprinkled with the odd tomato slices a calamari pieces.
The glass around the fridge areas looked as though they have not had a proper clean in months. The bathroom is an outside bathroom with no wash basin. The outside area is cluttered with empty crates and what appears to be excess household items from the apartment above.
If you want cheap beer, a relaxed environment and good location, I would recommend it. If you want to eat good food in a clean place, please go somewhere else.

Apollo7's review is a lie. If you have an ounce of self-respect in you, you'd come and tell all this to my face. You know where I'm. I don't know what prompted you to attack the integrity of my family business. The fact that you weren't willing to shell out a couple more dollars for a mains meal? Decided to have an entrée as a mains ($7)? Or maybe you've got a thing for wash-basins? You are a disgrace mate. What were you here for? Our signature dishes? Wine from 30-odd brands that we stock and offer by the glass? Wash basins? Try Bunnings warehouse next time. They even do coffee.
You have challenged the the cleanliness of our place. I challenge you to come down and say that to my face. Food is what we live for - Most of our patrons can vouch for that. The quality, the freshness and cleanliness are factors we specialize in. Again, I really don't know what made you say these things. A very low act, mate. All lies. You're into cuisine? Try our signature dishes. Oh, you might have to spend a couple of more dollars.
Funny you didn't mention the $30 tip that your friends left us. Almost everyone, other than yourself, thanked us more than once before leaving. Do us all in the Hospitality industry a favour - stay home, watch cooking shows where grown men learn how to dice onions and eat Domino's pizza.
