Having walked past regularly for several years and noticing that this restaurant was always full, we decided to book for a nice Saturday dinner. We were not disappointed! Our only disappointment is that we did not go there sooner. The food was excellent (including the famous chocolate creme brulee), service was fantastic, and it has instantly become one of our favourite places to dine out. Well done to all the team at Bistro Bruno and we look forward to returning very soon.

We went here for the first time last Friday and were quite happy with the experience. We had the ceviche and guacamole for entree and chicken fajitas and burittos for mains. We found the food to be very very good. Probably some of the best Mexican food we've had in Sydney. The service was friendly and attentive, perhaps, a little overly attentive, the waitresses walking up and down every couple of minutes can be a little too much but otherwise good.

We don't venture to Newtown much but will keep this place in mind. Definitely recommend giving it a go.

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. I think the staff that work there need to have a few attitude lessons as they so obviously didn't want to be there which is a shame as the food was good.

Love this place. We've been there for dinner twice based on the reviews on here and have been very impressed both times. We love thai food and my husband says this place does the best green curry he's ever tasted (even better than in Thailand!). Highly recommended.

We went there on a Friday after some great reviews on here. Unfortunately we were really disappointed. We arrived at about 8pm on a Friday and had to wait 45 minutes for a table - this was our fault though as we hadn't made a booking. After we got a table, we sat there for 15 minutes before we were even given a menu!! Then another 15 minutes before they even took our order! (We had to resort to putting the menus on the side of our table so the waiter had to move around it and notice us!!!).

The food was really slow. I usually consider myself a pretty patient person and not one to make a fuss but it really was beyond ridiculous. We only had a burritto each and it took at least 45 minutes. Other people around us were being served their meals and sitting there for ages with no cutlery to eat it with - they had to get up and get it on their own! The food was pretty good but we didn't really feel like it was anything special. The staff there were really lovely and friendly - very apologetic etc but we still felt really let down as we had travelled to the other side of the city just to go there. I don't think we'll be going back again.
