The service is terrible. I couldn't care less what the food is like if the service is of such sub-standard quality, though one dish definitely stands out!

Their Black-sesame ice-cream is just plain bizarre. It tastes like grit, like grainy cement mix. And there's no flavour, just the texture that you're eating dirt.

What really ground my gears though, came at the end of the meal. We asked for our dishes to be packed up in takeaway containers so we could take them home, not an issue I've had with other places! They agreed, except when it came to the boiled rice. They insisted we pay a fee for the rice to take it home! I'm sorry, What The? It became fairly obvious our rice would just be put back in the pot out the back and re-served.

I don't even see how that could conform to OH&S codes of practice. I will actively tell people not to go here.

Went here as part of a work function. As I was first to arrive, I took my seat at the designated table. The (who I presumed to be) owner came over and asked me what we would all be eating, whether we would be having a banquet etc.

Having looked at their menu online prior to arriving to get an idea on prices etc, I remarked how surprised I was they even offered a banquet. There was no mention on the menu at all! Nor was it mentioned in the physical menu, he provided a copy of the banquet on separate laminated pages. There were about 3 to choose from, and we decided on the $22 per head option.

The service was quick, a little too quick, they seemed to want us to leave! There was absolutely no air flow either. They had air vents, but no visible air conditioning system. The front doors were opened, but my male colleagues were developing lovely sweat patches on their business shirts, and the women's faces had started to slide down.

We attempted to open the other door but it was broken. The food was at least good, however, the waitress couldn't tell us if a certain dish was beef, lamb or veal, this was a problem for the some of the religious people in our group.

The place was so muggy and humid we left early, but they didn't seem to saddened by it!

Went there for lunch this afternoon. The Mongolian pancakes were cold, so when you put anything in them they ripped and went everywhere. The hot and sour soup had way too much pepper and was almost inedible. The stiry-fry beef with baby bok choy and mushrooms, which is listed on the menu as a Chef's Speciality, was really bland. Pretty non-descript.

The place looks clean and the staff are pretty good, although the two of us got served after larger groups of people, and we were there first. It was fine, but doesn't live up to the hype.

Have eaten here a few times, each time hoping it would be better. Unfortunately, not the case.

The services is exceptionally slow, with tables bussed by 15 year old girls who have somewhere way better to be. And they discuss this, at length, while you wait patiently to give your order (when they finally decide to show up and take it.)

The ambience is very isolated, which is fine if you're looking for a more romantic setting. Why you would do that at Pancake Parlour is beyond me. The servings are huge, too big for one person. And it's not even value for money!

Never. Ever. Ever buy coffee here. Ever. It is the worst coffee I've ever had the displeasure of ingesting. Granually, grainy. burnt, bitter. The staff are the most arrogant, pompous morons I've ever met.
