Ok, the food here used to be amazing? Not sure what has happened? My dining here was sadly very average. For starters I had what the menu described as gnocchi and mushroom ragu. It was this bland, stodgy piece of enlarged potato.

Then me and my friend were hoping that it was only going to get better from here. Unfortunately, it didn't. Had the wagu beef pappardelle which was extremely dry where I was gasping for wine and water. My dining partner had the tea smoked salmon with goats curd which was all right yet no where as good as it once was.

After a under whelming entree and main we decided to avoid dessert, but was handed the bill with burnt biscuits. arrrrgh. Won't be returning till I have heard things have changed. Oh and the ambience is gorgeous, very french.

This is without any doubt my favourite restaurant in Sydney. Been coming here for years and have never had at the least an average dining expeirence. Truly is Sydneys best non snotty place to eat. Can see myself coming back over many years.

I had dinner here friday just been and was blown away by the fresh fabulous food. Where do I start, I started off with oysters with some sort of vinegar salsa which were beautiful, fresh and tasty. I would have thought they were alive until the chefs are ready to shuck. Then I went to heaven with the special of prawn ravioli. It was once again fresh and cooked to perfection with crispy prawns atop for texture. Simply delicious.

Then for mains I decided to try something out of my comfort zone which was pan roasted kingfish with olives and berry purree. Sounds strange right? Well it worked perfectly where I even dreamt about it that night. If I had to critizise anything it would be the side of chips we ordered with our mains.

When the waiter cleared our table she'd noticed that we'd barely eaten any so then she was quick to explain that the potatoes are rubbish at the moment due to the weird weather this countries been having. All and all, well worth the visit. I can't wait to return.

This place looks lovely. But, unfortunately, the food is awful. Me and two others were out for a quick no fuss meal and all ordered the seafood platter each. The seafood was obviously not fresh judging by the smell of it. The calamari was coated with this horrible thick batter that I had to peel off to even taste anything. Deep fryed octopus? never heard of it and trust me you ain't missing out on anything. Overall the dish was unedible, overcooked and not fresh. Won't be returning.

This place needs to sort out the horrible service on a sunday in particular. I've been here on several occasions, me living in the building behind the cafe. Normally there's a lovely Italian lady who always makes great coffee with efficent service. I have not seen that on the two previous sundays I've dined at this restaurant. There was two waiters that were slow and looked like they were just wondering around in a big day dream.

Then what appeared to be the senior staff who can't make coffee to save her life. She had absolute no control of her staff and was getting extremely flustered in front of the coffee machine/till. My advice to her me having worked in this industry for 11 years is to get better help on the floor and 'God women, get some serious help with that coffee! Do a course or give it up! In conclusion, the food has always been of good standard which is generally consistent.

Food is great, though there is a lot of improvement needed on the floor. Service is rough and a revamp on the interior should be done soon. Will be returning purely for the great Chinese food.

Ok I had heard so much good reviews from friends about this restaurant. It was me and my partners four year anniversary so I wanted to take him somewhere nice. Now it all started great where we had the chicken liver pate with a glass each of a recommended glass of chardonnay by our waiter to complement the dish with was gorgeous.

Then our mains came out where I had ordered the corned beef which was just too salty to eat. I told the waiter and he tried to make me look stupid by telling me corned beef is cured and is supposed to be salty which I already knew. Plus they never arrived with our side of potatoes we ordered. Don't get me wrong, I love salt and salty things but this was unbearable and for them to claim as I'm ignorant was therefore unforgivable. Won't be returning.

Love love this place. Been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Recently I bought my two parents both from orange where they own their own restaurant, and they both enjoyed it, and got loads of ideas.

I had a pear and peppermint tea cocktail to start which was good enough to drink all night< and so refreshing. Had a spanner crab linguine with mint, chilli and lemon which was divine (the waiter told us it was all hand picked which showed). Then the soft polenta with mushroom ragu and soft blue cheese that was rich but so beautiful. Finishing with the good old aussie pavlova with mango which was great.

My parents had menu items such as the lamb, steak, peaches so on. Will be looking forward to my next visit, not only for the lovely food but the warm and friendly service.
