This is not your cheap eat Italian local pizza/pasta place, but it is a very good dining experience. On our recent visit, the food was excellent. The service was attentive, but not overdone and they were content to let you finish your wine without hassling you for coffee, dessert etc etc. Overall, we had a good experience and would go back anytime.

Totos is our local cheap Italian eat. It's kind of quirky and if you're looking for fine dining, this is not the place. When we went there recently, there seemed to have been a changing of the guard. The older guy cooking pizzas out the front was not there and the young guys in his place were friendly and greeted us appropriately. The old waiter with the cumberband was not there, although we always felt that he added some character to the place. The food is honest, without being extravagant. The basics are good and it is good value. Being BYO adds to that.

Although this restaurant has been close to home for a long time, we just haven't tried it. Went there a little while ago with friends and had a very good dining experience. It's been a long while since I have been in an Italian restaurant decorated with Chianti bottles, but it still works.
The food was great and the service was attentive without being overdone. The price was what you would expect to pay for the quality of food presented. It's not your cheap local pasta/pizza place, but it is well worth the bit extra you may pay.

We went to Carmen's not long after it opened and vowed that we would never go back. After several months, in a moment of weakness, we decided to give it another chance and hope that they had improved. We will never be back. On the first occasion, we had small children fighting under our table while their parents enjoyed their meal nearby.
The staff seemed oblivious to this. We asked for some olives, but they didn't have any. Sorry, we thought this was an Italian restaurant. The pasta was very ordinary and the service slow and unhelpful. Having your main plonked on the table while you are still eating your entry is unforgivable. The second visit just proved that they had learned nothing about running a restaurant, or food. Disappointing.

This restaurant is a fairly regular dine-out for us. The menu is a mix of Vietnamese and Chinese, but we have not been disappointed, although some dishes are better than others. Generally the food always has that fresh quality you look for in good Vietnamese food. The service can be a little over attentive, but the staff are friendly and helpful. The decor is modern and pleasant and overall, it is always a good dining experience.

The overall interior feeling of this restaurant is quite good. There are interesting Italian photos on the walls and it is nicely furnished. However, the polished concrete floor does nothing for the ambience and we found it to be very noisy. The pasta was great, well cooked with good flavour. Having to order a herb pizza, when all you want is some bread, doesn't make sense and could be easily solved.
Unfortunately, the service was just annoying. We lost count of the number of times our conversation was interrupted by being asked if our meal was Ok, was there anything else we wanted, had we ordered coffee, etc etc etc. This is not good service, it is just intrusive and annoying. I'm afraid we won't be going back.
