I was really looking forward to a night at the Lowenbrau (I'm a big fan of the Bavarian Bier Cafe). I was very disappointed about the whole experience.

My husband and I went for dinner on a Thursday night and were placed in amongst large party groups. Don't get me wrong, I definitely wasn't expecting a romantic dinner however, I thought it would have made more sense to seat us elsewhere. We literally had to yell to have a conversation.

Secondly, the food was almost unedible. Yes, they were big servings, but the meat was either bland or too dry. The mashed potatoes were not creamy at all.

Finally, in regards to adcoupe's review on 6/6/11, we also had the platter for 2 which is now $79. I won't be going back to The Lowenbrau again.

I have been here twice now. The food tastes great, the only let down is the small portion sizes, especially the chicken schnitzel. Very thin and dry. The waitress was very attentive, great service. Also a fun night if you enjoy trying a few different beers.

My first experience at a Lebanese restaurant. The bellydancer had cancelled but the atmosphere was still great without it. We had the buffet for $40pp which seems a bit expensive but I was full by the end. Didn't like the deep fried bread. Great flavours and variety. A BYO restaurant so we took our wine and weren't hassled about drinks. Dessert a bit expensive at $9 each but they were fairly large servings. Will go back again.
