A group of us (14 in total) had lunch at Tandoori Junction a couple of days ago. The service was excellent, the meals were great and the naan was fantastic. We will go back there anytime and being of Indian origin, I can honestly say the food was tasty without being overpowering.
Great food, fast, friendly service. Naan bread was especially good. Quite a lot of Indians eating here, which shows it has the approval of those most likely to know best. A bit on the pricey side though as one has to order rice separately.
Came here with a girlfriend. Seemed like we were invisible to the waiting staff. Hoped the food would make up for the lack of service. Food was a huge letdown, not authentic at all. Refuse to come back again.
I am very fussy when it comes to food so am not easily placated. This place has a power over me that I cannot deny. These guys have been here a while and their expertise shows. The curries, the naans, the chutneys. Everything is brilliant! I love it. Try the vindaloo, its exceptional. I wish I lived closer. I would eat here all the time.
Went on a Friday night with a group and were the only ones in the restaurant until around 9 pm. We ordered a banquet, the seekh kebab was chewy and disappointing, the samosas were big and full of veges. There was plenty of food, including an assortment of naan bread (the cheese bread was bland and the potato one had green chillies which made it quite hot). Just average indian food, I won't go back.
Wow! Where do I start! This place was good a few years back but not now, last 2 times I went it was disgraceful, had the Lamb curry which was dry and chewy beyond belief, the chicken tikka masala had burnt flakes from the tandoor all through the sauce and the service was slow and robotic. I would never ever come back here as long as I live.
This restaurant is excellent, the staff are nice, the services are excellent and the food is wonderful. I have been going here for the last 3 years and my boyfriend’s family has been here for like 15 years or something. If you are looking at going somewhere cheap with excellent food then you must go there!
They have pre-made entrees which are tiny if not abysmally small portions. The main course was ok except for the frequent raw ginger pieces, which no self respecting Indian cook will let remain in a dish without a thought.
Here's the kicker, they have two menus, a black one and a yellow one. They will put one black one and four yellow ones on your table before you order. The dishes and drinks on that are priced less on the yellow menu than on the black menu. And when the bill comes, they use the higher value to charge you. Extremely unprofessional and unethical.
And everything is obnoxiously priced too for the effort they put into the dishes.
It is difficult to find good Indian food in Melbourne. This restaurant is a touch better than the run of the mill but still wanting in fresh, authentic cuisine. A little money and thought could be put towards the decor and ambience.
