We ate here 2 nights when staying at Crown Casino, first night service was ok, but lasagne was so chewy with grissle. They took it off the bill which was good since we could not eat it. Second night service was so bad, we had to track down some one to take our order and even to pay. Up side was pizza very good. Food expensive for what we got.
Dined here on Friday with a group of friends. They were very busy but we were seated after a 5 minute wait and our meals came out quickly too, pizzas, pasta dishes, and veggies. Food was good and it was reasonably priced.
Our Family of four went there for Father's Day. The Father’s Day special at $45.00 was no special as the entrée and dessert were child size portions for the special price.
The food was slow to arrive and took us two and half hours before we could finish and leave disappointed. Food was very ordinary quality and preparation for the price and service was extremely poor which included putting one of the courses on the next table first. Forgot entrée and brought main meal, then brought back main meal warm not fresh. Just not worth the price and the service was inefficient and unsure. I do not recommend to anyone that cares about excellent food and efficient service.
We went to try the seafood promotion as well as their pizza and pasta dishes. The pasta was definitely not freshly made! it was dry and tasteless! We had the emporio pasta (seafood) and the Italian sausage tagliatelle! both horrible!
The pizza was, however, quite good. We ordered one seafood platter then decided to order one more but it came without the bread and salmon! the memory of the staff is appalling! they forgot at least about 3 times for the same item! first and last time for us!
Exceptional handmade Fresh pasta (difficult to find). I had the pasta primavera with gnocchi ($16.50) which was light, fluffy and flavourful. There is a wide variety of vegetarian dishes all of which look enticing. This restaurant could be heightened to new level and be classed as premium dining if it was more formally divided from the rather seedy looking food court cafe it shares it boundary with.
Service was very efficient and friendly and to my delight was given a complimentary chocolate birthday cake. The pasta is certainly worth experiencing.
The pizza here is about the best I've ever had anywhere (including Italy). Great value for money, even the side order of rocket and parmesan salad ($5.50) was a generous portion and tasty! Fast service, not for a lingering meal out but the constant queue for a table says it all.
