Savour Restaurant & Catering Awards Best Hotel Caterer (South Coast NSW)
Windjammers Restaurant is located beach front with glorious views over North Wollongong Beach and the Pacific Ocean. Sun-seekers can gravitate to the outdoor terrace, or find a cooler spot inside with stunning ocean views through floor to ceiling glass walls.
Guests can choose from the contemporary a la carte menu or the equally mesmerising buffet, where hidden delights bubble away in stainless steel vessels. The buffet offers an array of fresh local produce each day, but weekends see crabs, bugs, mussels and salmon for a seafood extravaganza. The a la carte offerings evolve twice a year, with recent menus boasting the likes of Lamb and Porcini Mushroom Risotto, Moroccan Lamb Rack on Smoked Eggplant Mash with Salsa Rossa and Raspberry & Frangelico Panacotta with Passionfruit Sauce.

Really one of the worst seafood buffets in Australia. I stayed for 4 nights here for a conference and dinner was included. By the end the week the food become a running joke, everyone of the delegates was looking for somewhere else to eat even if they had to pay from their own pocket to do so, incredibly the same food was served every night! You have to wonder what's gone wrong when people won't even eat here for free.

We stayed at the Novotel for a conference. Arriving late on Friday evening and were pleasantly surprised that Windjammers was still open. The seafood buffet was wonderful. Even though it was late in the evening the food looked fresh and very inviting. We were not disappointed. The food was great.
Breakfast next morning (Saturday) and everything again looked great and had just been cooked as we arrived at the restaurant on opening at 6.30 pm so again we enjoyed the food. Breakfast next morning (Sunday) 8 pm not as good. The coffee is the worst I have ever had the misfortune to taste. I cannot understand the bad coffee on offer, it lets the entire restaurant down.
What a way to finish Breakfast or Dinner. - finish with a bad taste in the mouth. Especially when you want that coffee to start the day. Great coffee just accross the road. The staff were great. I would definitely go there again but leave to have coffee elsewhere.

We had an unpleasant dining experience here a few years ago, and were reluctant to go again. However we have been to lunch twice on a saturday and the service and food were outstanding.
