Away from the crowds in the main street, the Little Blowhole Cafe is a favourite with locals and visitors alike. We make all our food from scratch, using quality seasonal ingredients. And we brew our Single Origin coffee with care. Once people find us, they come again and again.
Our hill top location gives us great water views, and there is easy parking. We are located just up the hill from the Little Blowhole, and we are a great place to stop on the Kiama Coast Walk.
We are open for dinner on the weekends during January, and once a month for theme dinners during the year.

So often I feel at cafes like I'm being rushed out the door. The Little Blowhole Cafe is a place you can chill out at, and never feel like someone is waiting to pounce on your coffee cup! It has a very relaxed feel, the coffee is excellent, the staff seem genuinely interested in cooking! and the food is made from natural ingredients. I've had the pumpkin and rocket salad which was yum, and have returned for the Eggs Benedict lots of times! Kids are made to feel welcome, and you can always get a park! Enjoy!

Friendly and relaxed. Great homecooked food (especially the fantastic rasberry muffins they were trying that day, still warm mmm). Made from local produce. The staff were cheerful and full of helpful suggestions about local attractions and markets. Afterwards we wandered down to the little blowhole and had a wonderful time with the children wading in the rockpools, it seemed 100 miles away from the noisy crowds of tourists on the main shopping strip.
Response from Management:
Glad you and your family enjoyed yourselves at the Cafe and the Little Blowhole itself. It is just one of Kiama's many hidden treasures!

Bad coffee, can't see any whales from the cafe, yes you need the most powerful telescope to see whales.
Response from Management:
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the special magic of seeing the whales go by. They are easily visable with the naked eye, and cause a wonderful shared experience for us all. Better luck next time, during the migration season!

We gave the proprietor 4 hours notice that 20 of us were going to lunch here. There were only 2 people in the cafe, the senior staff/kitchen staff and madame general of everything and her son? trying hard at table service. Cute but ineffective. We arrived at 1:30 and did not leave until 3:20. Hmmm. The meals were at best ordinary and the delivery, clearly too long. Disappointed.
Response from Management:
So disappointing to get such a review from you, when everyone else seemed to enjoy themselves and the feedback was very positive from others in your group. The time you spent with us wasn't due to slow service, but your group's desire to serve the large group of children first, and then wait for them to return from an expedition down to the Little Blowhole after you had finished your meal. It is not our style to bustle people out of our Cafe if they seem happy to sit around and chat.

I live on Sydney's North Shore and travel to Kiama for weekend getaways quite regularly. The Little Blowhole Cafe is my favourite cafe in Kiama (best kept secret). It's such a perfect, cosy place, tucked away from the township weekend crowds, the food is fresh and gourmet (with decent servings), and the coffee is a lovely blend.
You can sit inside, or undercover outside. Sitting outside can be a bonus, I love the sound effects of the little blowhole down the road (hence the name of the cafe and another good spot to visit after eating!), and during the whale migration season (June and Oct), I've been fortunate to see a number of humpbacks frolicking in the sea. Add it to your list. Enjoy!

We called in twice to see if what the reviews had to say was right. You would need a darn good telescope to see a whale from here as you are 300 metres from the water. The place was empty on both our visits and the menu tiny. We went back to Manning Street for more options and better value.

Great little spot away from everything. We love sitting outside looking down at the ocean and enjoying a coffee (really nice coffee too), or a glass of wine and a beer! Its a great spot to watch for whales or just relax. The food has been good, homemade and tasty, and there is lots more we would like to try! We have always had friendly nice service and have enjoyed every visit.
