Austi Beach Cafe has a very open inviting atmosphere but if you want a coffee you will be waiting 20 minutes and thats when there is only five or so customers around I've timed them on 5 different occasions and got it once within 20 minutes, no lies! My opinion the coffee is not worth the wait, Don't believe me time them yourself, 20 minutes for one coffee are these people serious? I'm giving them a 1 for their service review.

We've driven down from Sydney many times to enjoy lunch here, however, the standards are slipping. Staff were slow and unfriendly and the food was sub-par. The oven roasted chicken salad was foul. A greasy drumstick and thigh covered in a tablespoon of lettuce and drowning in a yellow dressing. My husband was so disgusted he walked out. The kids fish and chips were average and my lamb sandwich was so full of fat I couldn't eat it. Sad. Used to be great.

Went to this cafe. There was no menu on the street and had to "wait to be seated" to check out the menu, so we went next door to an old fashioned milk bar. Don't know the name if it but I had the best steak sandwich I have had since the 70s for 8 bucks.

My partner and I had breakfast here. Great spot opposite the beach. The waiter was really promp and friendly. We both had big breakfasts which were ridiculously expensive at $18 each. It was good though but certainly not worthy of its price tag. The best thing about this cafe was the hugely refreshing watermelon crush drink! That I will go back for but a $55 breakfast I don't think so.

As we waiting for our food we saw the staff walk away from the kitchen when food was ready to go, leaving it on the hatch for several minutes. They walked straight past the counter where many coffees were waiting to be delivered and stood to chat with each other. Lots of staff but didn't seem to be anyone in charge and didn't seem to care when we asked if our food was coming. Over half an hour wait for something I could have got alot cheaper if I went to the take away joint next door.

I had lunch here for my birthday and the fish was divine! My partner has the veg lasagne which looked sloppy and bland though. Lovely juices and great spot.

I am a local, who has been here on a couple of occasions as well and on the whole, I recommend it here! The breakfast is excellent! notably, the fritters! They are amazing! Lunch wise, the wedges are the best you can get, however, the salt and pepper squid is average! Although it is in a fantastic spot, it is over-priced compared to the other local pubs/cafes around.

I live in Austinmer and come to the Austi cafe very often for breakfast or morning coffee!! The food is always fabulous and the service is excellent. The location is really nice as you have the beach across the road. It can get a bit noisy on Sundays because there are lots of motorbikes out for a Sunday ride! But don’t let that put you off!
There is no denying it is pricey, the Austi big breakfast is $17! But it is worth it as a weekend treat!! Try their home made baked beans too, they are yummy!
