What could possible have more character than an old church? There has been very little down to modify this building from its former glory to its restaurant persona- well except for trading the alter for a kitchen.

The ambience is unique and there is a very old town, cosy vibe within the building which seems odd considering how open it is. The slop of the floor can be a tad annoying but it's a small price to pay for the authentic character and charm. We were on the cusp of breakfast and lunch so decided that although the lunch menu looked great, especially for a rainy Winter's day, that we all wanted a good hardy breakfast.

Three of us ordered the scrambled eggs on toast with cherry tomatoes and prosciutto. I had bacon added to mine and although it gave a good contrast to the strong distinctive flavours of the prosciutto (although they did get a bit much) it looked pretty drab and didn't quite hit the spot. The tomatoes were perfect, in look and taste and were a bit of a conversation piece at the table. The egg and bacon roll was also apparently quite a delicious bite.

Coffee and teas were all of good quality. The service was nice and polite but just the bare minimum, although they did advise us when we were picking a table where the heaters were to keep us warm. Comfort and charm a great side to a fantastic breakfast!

This is a converted church, with big high ceilings and stain glass windows everywhere. There is a large outdoor eating area as well. We had breakfast here and the food was great. Really good produce, the tomatoes tasted of tomato and the mushrooms were full of flavor. Coffees are good and service was fast given it was a really busy breakfast session.
