Loved our dining experience last night. My husband took me there with friends for my birthday, great choice. Food so fresh and authentic with beautiful flavours. Generous serves, we had a banquet with an extra prawn dish. Yummy turkish delight at end of meal. Great wines, great lebanese fine dining. Excellent friendly staff. A must at Walsh Bay.

Lovely good Italian food but a little overpriced. Pickled beetroot salad had about 1 beetroot, Prosciutto and figs should have said fig. Prosciutto was excellent though and why do a lot of good cafes serve such poor coffee when so much good coffee around. Tiramisu could have had more punch and flavour. Friendly service is a bit vague.

We had an enjoyable night out, between two we shared a meat and poultry platter. The food was delicious, the platter was a good option to try a variety of things. Although it ended up being too much food for 2 and had too much meat for my liking.

The prices are a bit pricey but I think you’re paying for the location. I’d recommend booking as there were a few large groups and not many tables spare. We found the staff very nice and efficient.

Dined before theatre and service was great -food delivered hot and at reasonable intervals. We had the mixed tapas and Sangria and could not fault the quality or quantity or portions. Good selection - the spachcock was supreme and I am a spachcock freak. Calamari perfectly cooked. The ambience is basic but you don't go for fine dining here - its good quality cafe style with good food.

Without a doubt the best value take away in Walsh Bay. $20 for a delicious mixed plate with Chicken shawarma that's big enough for 2 not so hungry people or one incredibly hungry person. Dining in at this restaurant is even better, sitting right on the harbour's edge and much quieter than other restaurants in the area. The service is excellent, really helpful and friendly.

I stopped here before a play last night. My friends were all late, so I sat at the bar. This place gets really busy on play nights, but they made every effort to accommodate people, offering them a choice of sitting at the bar or outside once the tables were full. The bar staff were knowledgeable and able to recommend an appropriate beer for me (as I'm not familiar with Italian beer), and it was exactly what I wanted.

The risotto was delicious (I think it was caramelised onion, raddichio, and parmesan). It's a bit annoying to have to go and read the blackboard to see what's on offer (I'd rather sit and read a menu), while servers brush past you. The place isn't cheap, but the prices are pretty much in line with the other restaurants in the area.

It's probably one of the better venues if you're heading for a play at the STC and don't want to stop in the Rocks first. However, I have a feeling that conversation might be difficult if you're not alone!

Great food, fabulous service. We walked in (without a booking) with just 40 minutes to have a meal and get to the theater. They were very prompt and go the food on the table very quickly allowing us to get to the theater on time. The Calamari we had was very good and the lamb flavorsome. We will definitely be back to spend a little more time here.

We read about the change to the Wharf. As we needed to go to the box office about some tickets, we decided this could be the spot for a light lunch. I had a slice of spinach, sun roasted tomato and egg tart (or something like that - I didn't take notes). MM had a sandwich. Both were very tasty. My tart was uniformly warm, thank goodness. So often things of this type are carelessly re-heated, resulting in almost frozen and scalding on one plate.

Long blacks were excellent. Nice choice of wines by the glass. Furnishing is simple. The view is just the same of course, incomparable. We look forward to checking out the evening menu.

Excellent food. Couldn't fault the banquet options that we had. Excellent tabouli The belly dancing didn't really live up to expectations as I've seen similar show at $10 Lebanese restaurants around town.

But very hard to justify the prices.

If you thought Parramatta El-Phoenician was good, wait until you try Walsh Bay. Same fab menu, only better view! We had the Byblos banquet, and it was delicious! So much food! Their wine list is amazing, with so much variety! Have already booked my birthday party there!

We had a lovely evening at Teras Bali last night (Monday 5 March). The service was very friendly and helpful, the food was great and the location perfectly suited to Balinese dining, or any dining for that matter. Situated on the waterside of the Walsh Bay wharf it is a very relaxing place to quietly enjoy a meal with your friends and loved ones.

We shared a starter (Gado Gado), enjoyed two mains, rice, sambal, a cocktail each, and other drinks and were too stuffed to try dessert. It was great value for money and the menu allows you to eat a lot of little things, several big things or mix it up, however, you feel according to your appetite and budget.

Many dishes were under $10! We are already planning our next visit and I'm keen to try the vegetarian satay sticks and several of the many yummy sides available. Maybe a dessert too if there's room. It's also lovely to walk off your meal by following the harbour foreshore all the way around to Circular Quay for spectacular night views. Congrats Teras Bali!

Can't believe of the bad review of Teras Bali. I've been there many times and never dissatisfied. I'm Balinese myself and I can tell Teras Bali is the best Balinese/Indonesian restaurant in Sydney.

The food was so good, I've tried most of them. I am not saying this because I'm Balinese, my bf is English and he love this restaurant. The price for such a nice place like Walsh bay is so unbeatable. Staff always super nice and friendly. So great food, superb location and friendly service. What else you ask?

What a disappointment. The venue is very pleasant, the selection of dishes is good, but all the dishes we tried were bland, bland, bland. Food was unseasoned ( lacked salt altogether ) and totally lacking in spices. The flavours that Balinese food is famous for were not evident -- we could have been eating anything. It is not enough to have several different sorts of "home made" sambal sauces to be ordered (and paid for) as side dishes.

This is a little hidden gem in an overpriced area. They sell chicken shawarma rolls for $9 but it isn't on the menu, you just have to know they sell it. Generous portions of meat with tabouli wrapped in Lebanese bread. Lamb shish rolls are $10. Friendly service and million dollar views as well.

The wait staff were incredibly rude. We originally booked for 6 people and 2 people were running a little late so we started to order. We then found out the 2 others weren't going to make it and their response to us was, "well next time a little more notice would be appreciated." and were quite abrupt and rude with us for the rest of the night. How can you give more notice for such a situation? There won't be a next time!

I have been a waitress whilst I was at uni so I let a lot of things go at restaurants but this was just uncalled for and we felt ripped off paying these prices for rude service. We went there knowing it was going to be pricey and for these prices, we expect great service and great food. The food was very average. Go to the Neutral Bay one for better ambience, food and service.

This food is really good. Light and tasty, truly homemade. Not at all greasy. Super yummy. The fattoush here is Amazing! I'm still thinking about it, has a wonderful zingy taste. Would go back just for that. Not a huge menu but what they do, they do well. A touch pricey for the servings, but worth it for the food. Nice service. Good location - Walsh Bay is really a great food enclave. Will go back for sure!

I went to this place late 2011 (November or December) and I thought it was great but I couldn't find anything about it online so taking this opportunity to review now.

I thought the food was excellent, the fatoush was particularly good. Servings were reasonably sized (but not huge) and service was friendly. Seems to be family run and quite authentic.

Walsh Bay is generally quite up market and really expensive but this was lower key and reasonably priced ($20 each for 4 people) with a soft drink each. (I'm not sure if it's licensed). Will go back again (Teras Bali nearby is also excellent!).

This would be one of the worst restaurants we have ever visited. The venue is pleasant, but the food is awful.

We chose from the pre-theatre menu. The first was the Kari Ayam, which was a chicken curry. The tiny dish arrived with basically uncut chicken, an awful, looking bony piece of boiled chicken (which I had to labouriously cut up on my plate) in a rather tasteless sauce, 2 large pieces of potato and some quail eggs.

Next was the Tumis Babi Asam Manis, which was supposed to be a spicy pork dish. The pork pieces looked awful and were dry, there was a tiny bit of sauce underneath it all (and not really spicy) and again a few quail eggs. To add to the 2 tiny dishes above, we ordered the Nasi Goreng, we were surprised how cheap it appeared on the menu ($10), but that was because it came in the same tiny dish used for the other 2 dishes but at least this dish was quite tasty.

So, my rating would be 2/10 for the chicken curry, 3/10 for the pork and 8/10 for the Nasi Goreng. The total price including a tea and a beer was about $55.
We will not be going there again.

More than just your average pizza and pasta, they do authentic Italian food that is so moreish and tasty, we will definitely be going back. We loved the crisp polenta with gorgonzola cheese sauce.
