    It's amazing a place like Zinc can survive given the quality of surrounding cafes. On many visits the service has always been indifferent and apathetic. The food is average bordering on amateurish.Those that have not tried proper scrambled/poached eggs should visit many a cafe in Melbourne. The coffee too is overhyped and average. So is the value. Zinc should be seen as a meeting place first and a dining place second.

    Zinc promises so much, yet delivers so little. More a place to see and be seen than to get quality food. Unforgiveably, even the coffee is bad. With so much quality competition in the area, I'm amazed this place survives.
