We had a great lunch for my dad's 85th birthday last week. The service was very attentive and the food was fantastic and the pan seared trout was amazing. Thanks guys. We'll be back again.

Very nice spot for a restaurant. We were lucky enough to be one of the last to try the "degustation dessert" which was to die for. My beef fillet was so tender I could have eaten it with a spoon. Amazing lunch.

Four of us went to Zimzala Sunday 15th April for dinner, the waitress gave us our table and then we watched the two waitresses stand talking at the bar. No one offered us drinks or even water. After ten minutes we got up and left, told the waitress who shrugged it off with a "Ahh Well"... Won't go back.

They served meat with my meal after I specifically requested it be omitted. I asked 2 different waiters for a cappuccino twice over the course of an hour which never arrived. We had pre-booked and had hoped for something a bit special for my husband's birthday celebration. However, the spectacular water views this morning made the lousy service almost tolerable.

I really enjoy coming here, especially for breakfast. The place has a really laid back and relaxed feel to it, although the interior can come across as quite "expensive". It is children friendly. Lovely view of the park. Have recommended Zimzala to other friends who have now dined here and enjoyed it also.

Great view, shame about the food. Won't be returning. Steaks were tuff, pasta was tasteless, apparently as I'm British my tastes are too exotic according to the waitress!

The desserts were average, the honeycombed was burnt inside that went with the cheesecake. Come on guys lift your game! Get the simple things right and your customers won't be writing these comments and will come back for more!

2 years ago, I had been a couple of times to this place in the day when it was new and the service was dreadful and the food was just okay, but have now been a few times lately for dinner, we really enjoyed our meals and the staff were very attentive in a great way, it is quite dear and felt the wine was too expensive. It's not a place I would frequent all the time, very very crowded in with 2 large party tables.

March 2012. Visited again recently, we were a party of 10, everyone found it very expensive for what you received on your plate, like the crab, trout salad scratching around for the seafood, the gelato was, however, quite generous, so disappointing when you've recommended a place, we won't be back. I had heard similar but thought it worth a try.

Dear patzie, Thank you for reviewing our restaurant recently. We are glad you enjoyed your meals. Zimzala has come a long way since those awful early days. We continue to improve all the time. When comparing with other restaurants in the area our menu is well priced. Our wines begin at $27 per bottle and we now have a byo option as well. Thursday nights is another opportunity for value packed dining with 2 courses for $35 and 3 courses for $40. I would not have thought Zimzala was "quite dear"....now Tetsuya....that's dear, I guess everyone has to start somewhere and maybe someday, we'll be up there with the very best. We recently ate at Zimala on a sat night. The restaurant is in a great location right on the beach at Sth Cronulla. The service was excellent and very attentive. The portion sizes were decent. The pork belly we ordered for entree tasted good, but didn't have any crackling unfortunately. The scallops were excellent.

For mains we ordered the lamb blackstrap and the barramundi. The barramundi was also a great dish, but the lamb blackstrap was a little chewy, although the flavours were good. Overall a good experience, and we will return.

Very good restaurant. food was very good, generous potions and fantastic service with happy, attentive staff. Lovely location right on the beach. For the location and the whole package prices were more than fair. We have been to Zimzala on 4 occasions now and will be continuing to return. Where else in the Shire do you get a view like this?

Went on a saturday night for a early Valentines dinner. Food is well presented and tasty. Had the barramundi fish and lemon meringue dessert which was good and well cooked. Great views of Cronulla beach and quiet location. Nicely decorated restaurant.
