I've eaten here twice in the past two months and enjoyed it immensely both times. Even when madly busy they were quick to serve us (despite being madly busy), the bottle of house red was good, the pizza was amazing and the gelati fabulous. None of us tried the pasta so I can't comment on that. To cap it all, it's cheap!

The people giving bad reviews on the food must be unused to italian pizza or something. I have recommended this place to all of my family and friends.

Worse place in Sydney to have Pizza. Over crowded, treated like cattle. And the wait, I have actually been here several times and it gets worse. So I have given Zia a chance. Food is actually nice, but the poor staff, noise and being cramped doesn't make it a dining experience. Never again!

I would NEVER EVER eat here again! BIG MISTAKE! Hated everything about it. I don't care how cheap it is.

Unfortunately the two most important factors in any restaurant is food and service. Pasta was lacking in ingredients and taste, with no thought or care in relation to the final product from the kitchen. However, the pizzas are on par with other quality restaurants within the area. The most unforgiveable factor was the service provided. Food was not all served at once, rather a ten minute interval in between. While drinks and glasses took another ten minutes to arrive. No chillers were provided for the white wine neither were there any ice within the soft drinks. Service demeanour from the staff was poor. Restaurant is not particularly well laid out, with a very limited area available for the amount of seating currently utilised. Overall it was not a comfortable dining experience. Will not recommend to anyone.

Cheap place for the rocks. It was pretty crowded so the 10 of us got crammed onto two 4-person tables put together. The menu seemed alright with alot of variety, until we got our food. Not to mention we waited about 40 min for it. Thin pizza crusts which we dubbed "Naan bread" pizza (I heard thats how they make it in Italy, is that true?), which was drenched in oil and had one sparse layer of topping. Cantelloni was ordinary, spagetti bolognaise was ordinary. At least they were "safe" choices. Pizza did not get finished by the guys there, not because it was big but because it was so grossly oil drenched. Waiters were backpackers. One stopped for 20 min talking to the people on the next table and ignored the rest of the customers. We asked for the bill off another waiter and he forgot. We got the bill 20 min later when we asked for it again. I am not even fussy and I eat regularly at relatively cheap restaurants. If this place was not at the rocks, no one would go there. We got out as soon as we could and we're not going to go back.

We ate very ordinary and just warm food. It is really for tourist who go there once and don't come back.

My wife and I tried this as a cheap alternative. The pizza was really nice. The seating was a little cramped and the order took a little while to get to us, but I put that down to how busy it was that night, being that it was a Saturday night. We liked the atmosphere and would go back there again.

After a few swift pints in a nearby pub, we moved on as planned for some Italian fare. We ordered pizza based on reviews below (a small vegie & a small Mexican @ $10.60 each) and a 375ml bottle of house red (with water glasses for wine consumption). Service was quick & friendly; pizzas were hot & fresh (touch overdone on the base). The restaurant seems to rely on rapidly turning over the closely spaced tables, but being a Tuesday night there was no pressure to move on. Conclusion - I wouldn't leave home to go there, but for a quick, cheap & cheerful feed in The Rocks it fits the bill; speaking of which 2 small pizzas, 375ml wine, 2 desserts & 1 coffee came to $40.

We were there on a Friday night and they were very busy, however they found us a table in quick time. The waiters were visiting backpackers and were willing but not highly trained. Food was just OK, atmosphere was buzzy and wine (or beer) list was very limited. We had fun though and it was cheap enough.
