The first time we dined at Zenobia's, I thought it was fantastic! The food was great, service was good but soon after they became more popular, I realised they had slacked off a fair bit with the service. We had a VERY average feed last saturday and I could swear that the SUJUK was off because later that night we were both trapped in the bathroom for a while. The dips used to be great, not so much anymore. Won't be back there again!

Zenobia was impressive. My husband and I recently went there on a Tuesday night and it was packed. We had the banquet (couldn't decide!) which was great. There was so much yummy food, and it was even better the next day. The staff were great, thanks Michael and good luck with the new restaurant in Strathfield.

We went to Zenobia for a birthday party on Saturday night and had a terrific time. The atmosphere was great, the belly dancers were excellent and most of all the food was tasteful, we were absolutely full by the end of the night. The place was a bit crowded, it did get frustrating at times, though we still managed to have a good night. The staff were polite, the service was warm and friendly, though I have to admit one incident blew me off, which I found not necessary at all, which displayed the unprofessionalism of management. In my opinion staff should not be humiliated in front of patrons. I believe there is a time and place for everything.

I had the pleasure of arranging a work function and chose Zenobia. The staff were an absolute delight and were very accommodating for such a large group. The service and the food on the night was outstanding and the appearance of two belly-dancers (one male and one female) were fantastic entertainment, bringing the whole restaurant together for a laugh when a lucky few were invited to dance.
Everyone at the function (ie. 30+ people) enjoyed the food and entertainment with a number of people keen to return. I, for one, would love to come back. I think this is most suited for friends and groups, but could be overwhelming for those on a first date. Overall, great for a night out! Loved it.

The food was great, you get great value. I loved the Lebanese sausages the most as they were very chilli and I love chilli. The kebabs were very nice too.

I went here with an open mind last night for an 18th birthday. We were situated in the back room outside where the tables were all squashed in and the cold air could enter, however, the heaters did compensate a little. Once the birthday boy arrived we were all seated and food was brought out immediately. The mezza began first, a combination of fried bread, dips such as hummous and baba ghannouj, with mishwe warra enib (stuffed vine leaves), and salads such as tabouleh and fattoush. It was tasty but some dishes had unneccessary amounts of garlic in them which was a bit of a turn off.
Main meals were delicious, cooked to perfection and quite soft. This included chicken and meat skewers and kafta as well. Entertainment was excellent, a male bellydancer arrived at around 8 and put on a show, inviting people from various tables to dance with him. About two hours later another female bellydancer arrived and did the same. We all enjoyed the entertainment and the music was divine. However, when the shows finished the music was lowered again and could not be heard.
At the end of the night, argeelahs were brought out for the party to wind down and relax. If you are an experienced person at smoking argeelah, check the water levels and tobacco because we found it wasn't pure enough and the flavour didn't come through enough. Overall, Zenobia is a restaurant for a night out with a group of friends where you just want to relax.

The rain has kept most of us away. What a joy to start socialising again with one of Norton Street's new favourites. Everything was wonderful. The service was great and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed every single moment! Well done to a fantastic team!

We went to Zenobia last night for the second time in as many weeks and the food was just as fantastic as last time. This is a real hidden gem in Leichhardt and it is fantastic value. We went with relies who are Lebanese and they could not fault the food, with the host's father went so far as to say "this is how this should be cooked" when referring to a wonderful aromatic rice dish of chicken, cinnamon and ground meat which he said was cooked the way it had been in Lebanon (that was my favourite dish by the way!).
I can't understand why anyone would think the food is not authentic. It really can't get much more authentic in my opinion (and theirs)! The value is also superb, we were a table of 13 people and we ordered about 3 lots of 9 or 10 dishes and the bill came to $40 pp AND there was food left over. When we went there the time before that there were 5 of us and the bill came to $25 pp and we were all stuffed to the gills. It is also BYO with no corkage. I strongly recommend that you try it out for yourself, it's fab.

We went there with a group of friends on a saturday night. We were greeted at the door and taken to our table. We booked for a large group outside. We all were so impressed by the beautiful traditional decoration. You feel like you'r sitting in a garden from a few centurys ago. We loved the food, everyone was so full. The value was well worth it. Try it, you'll love it.

Didn't even make it to dinner. We were pointed in to our table, they sat us in the driveway rainy night with water dripping onto our table. We had rice and rubbish on the table cloth, I asked to have it cleaned, and the waitress takes it off the table gives it a shake and places it around the other way. Then we get this 'you gonna orda' from the waitress... which I did then walked straight out. Would never ever step foot in that place again, mind you the menu was very uninviting.
