I tried to find a restaurant in the Strathfield area that wasn't Korean or Indian and the choices were definitely not in abundance! I found Zed's online and went and had a look, we were dubious from the look of it outside, but gave it a go. Thank Goodness!

The food was delicious, the staff were so lovely and friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The prices were reasonable and the portion sizes generous. The interior was very welcoming, once inside, you are completely unaware you are between two major roads. Another bonus is the parking onsite, another rarity in the area.

We have family and friends from different suburbs of Sydney and Strathfield is somewhere in the middle for all of us, so this find is a Gem (and with parking!). We will definitely be going back.

We keep returning to Zeds for the yummy food, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. I especially enjoy dining in the alfresco area in the warmer months. The tapas menu ensures we have a wide variety to pick and choose from. The eggplant and prawns dish is my favourite. Our family loves to share the pasta and seafood platters. The servings are very generous. The only problem is leaving room for dessert. There aren’t many restaurants in the Strathfield area, and certainly not with food of this quality. If you haven’t tried Zed’s I highly recommend you do. Buon Appetit!

Have been here twice in the last few months. The pizzas here will keep us coming back for more. The scampi pasta we had was delicious too. Surprising the veal main with mushrooms was also tanlalising. Generous salad servings. The waitresses don't seem too experienced although they are friendly. A couple of them keep coming back to check up on us, but I found it a bit repetitive and not necessary. Maybe they need to communicate with each other so they know who's looking after which table.

This place can get a little loud as well so you might have to speak loudly to each other. But as I'm a local, it is very convenient when there are too few italian food in the area.

Oysters had an off taste, which I pointed out and was taken off the charge.
Carpaccio of beef looked like roast beef from the deli. Baby octopus not cleaned. Unfortunately, food let this place down.

After first discovering Zed's by accident, it has now become a favourite. I tell all my friends to go and enjoy a fantastic meal with a beautiful interior and supreme service, I think its great value for money as the entire experience is exceptional. Not to mention being able to cater for larger groups and convenient parking at the back.

Love this place! The food is amazing, esp the garlic chili prawns, actually all their seafood dishes are amazing. I do love the fresh anchovies. This place provides oven baked pizza, and delicious Dianne sauce (The best I have tried).

The service is impeccable and much better then other places I've thought would be better. Great place in an unexpected location.

Went on a sat night recently as was told about this from friends, great place, don't judge it based on the building. Very stylish inside great food and service reasonably priced. Waitress knew the specials and was helpful during the night and service was quick but not rushed. Would go back again and a great local find in Strathfield.

We had a really nice experience here. However, at the beginning the warning bells started to ring. We were shown to our table, and then were left to our own devices for 10 minutes at least before grabbing a waitress to request wine glasses for our BYO, along with a couple of beers. This request was made three times, and yes, whilst they were really busy , flatchat, eventually we got what was asked for, with one of the beer glasses being filthy.

To their credit, it was promptly exchanged, this being the only hiccup for the visit. My partner and I shared a pasta platter for two, with three different varieties, one of which was tortellini. Another party member had the risotto gamberi, there was schnitzel, BBQed octopus, pizza and steak also ordered. Everyone commented how much they enjoyed their meals, and what a surprise to find such a competent offering ensconsed in a highway motel. We would certainly give Zeds another go.

6 of us went on my recommendation. It was just great. The service was impeccable, The Pizzas were delicious, my main course which was grilled John Dory was magnificent, my wife's main which was Scotch Fillet was mouth watering, even though I took my own wine, I checked the wine menu, it was extensive and priced logically. All in all a great experience. I'll be back. Lastly the 42" flat screen TV were wonderful, I kept up with the saturday night football.

Been here 2 times and am very happy to have a quality Italian restaurant in the burbs. Little pricey but you get what you pay for. Love the Italian tapas.
