Not impressed with this place, it's really a glorified pizza delivery with 5 tables inside and a menu that is 90% pizza (+ garlic bread, salads, Ribs, and desserts).

Pizzas were ordinary, cooked in gas oven not wood fire. The Garlic in the Gourmet Chicken was from a jar, after they cooled down the quality deteriorated rapidly. On the bright size the base was not greasy and the 4 of us (including 2 children) could finish 2 family size pizzas! the Italian ice-cream dessert was good.

Ambience was a let down, I didn't feel I was in restaurant, when I asked where I could wash my hands, the waiter took me into the kitchen and turn on the tap on top of dirty dishes! Service was that of a take away, no attention to patrons whatsover.

Value: with large pizzas around $17. Not sure how they're able to differentiate themselves from next door Dominos!

I've been to Zappi's a few times now and would recommend it as a place to go for good pizza. Not breathtakingly fantastic tasting pizza with creative toppings. They do the classics reasonably well, and at $20 for a large gourmet pizza, it's affordable. Just don't go expecting fireworks and you will have a good time.

Usually get a takeaway pizza from here once a week. Ring up to order and they are very quick. The pizzas are tasty although nothing special. I love the smell of the place when you walk in. Smells really yummy.

Had takeaway from here. Pizza's are not that good. Pretty average, at the very least.

Went there for the first time tonight, its very busy (no room to get to some of the tables), and the advise of going later is quite wise (or get take away/delivery). I still don't really understand how it works in terms of service, he came to us once to order, and I just kind of went to the counter if I wanted something, I 'think' thats how its supposed to work? More like a take away shop than a restaurant.

Pizza was very good, GBread was good too, everything is really cheap (thats a first for a restaurant thesedays), I'm keen to go back and try some more of their pizzas. The desserts are like a pre-packaged frozen thing, I thought it was mudcake but its actually gelato, but it was still quite tasty, and its not expensive or anything.

Its certainly not a big fancy pizza joint, but it really doesn't try to be! It feels very low-key, and we will be back.

We are locals and first went to Zappi's ten or more years ago. After counting the cockies crawling up the walls that night it took us until recently to get the courage to go back. I suspect (but don't really know) that it may have changed hands at some stage because in recent years there has been a great increase in clientele.

We now go regularly for an easy night out when mum needs a rest or we want a cheap and cheerful meal. Pizzas (and all the food) are very good and the service from the young guys in there is usually pretty keen and helpful. As someone else said, drinks are inexpensive for the kids and we just grab a cheap red from the nearby grog shop as it's BYO.

If you prefer a quiet time then book a table for about 8.30 as before then it is a cramped madhouse during the take-away peak hours. All around good quality and good value, in fact these days I look forward to an excuse to go there.

Zappi's is my favourite restaurant of all time. I come in there weekly when possible (I go to university right near the restaurant) and leave satisfied every week. The staff are awesome as well, and always make me feel welcome. Everybody should go to Zappi's!
