I stayed at the hotel for two nights and I had both breakfasts at the restaurant, and I was very happy with the buffet and service given by very friendly staff. The first time I went down, was a rainy day so I sat down inside which was still nice, but it was even nicer to sit in the open space the next day when the weather was beautiful.

I had dinner at the restaurant the last night I stayed there as well. The food was average but the restaurant manager provided and his wait staff were great assisting us throughout the night. I am very confident to recommend this place to others.

A pleasant evening with beautiful views of the ocean. On arrival, we were greeted by the restaurant manager, who provided impeccable service along with his staff throughout the entire night. A highly commended establishment!

A pleasant surprise, furniture etc a bit dated but food was Delicious and gorgeous wait staff. Give it a go again! Desperate to go back and try the seafood buffet.

One word...Impressive! We visited this restaurant on February 19th 2012 for the Seafood Buffet lunch and walked out extremely full and impressed on all levels. Right from the start of lunch we were promplty greeted by a very polite and attentive waiter and given a seat by the open windows with a beautiful view of Manly beach.

The buffet itself had something for everyone, every type of seafood combination you could imagine, as well as amazing fresh salad's, red meat selections such as lamb, rice and noodle dishes. Oh, and the dessert bar was amazing! If you eat at Zali's be sure to wear lose clothing, eat lightly prior and get ready for scrumptious seafood feast.

We went there for a birthday celebration and I really couldn't fault it. The young staff were friendly and easy going, nothing was any trouble and the food was fine. We had the seafood platter for 2 which was good value at $75, my son had an excellent steak. Ambience there was a bit 'corporate' as the restaurant is just off the main foyer of the Manly Pacific. Menu selection a bit on the limited side but we enjoyed it and would go there again.

The service was absolutely shocking, the waiter was rude and hard to get hold of even though there were only a few tables occupied. He turned the lights off throughout most of the restaurant as he wanted to go home, which made us feel like we were keeping him up, and it was only 8pm on a week-night. The food was boring and cheap, they served us bottled oysters, I couldn't believe it. I tried to order a cocktail, they said they don't do cocktails in the restaurant anymore and that I would have to go to their cocktail bar opposite myself, as they did not offer that service anymore as it is a different company to them. The place just goes downhill with each new owner, it was fabulous with the original owners.

We had the seafood buffet for Sunday lunch. It's inside the Novotel Hotel at Manly, overlooking the beach. Large variety of fresh food including salmon, prawns, crab, balmain bugs, sushi, hot food and great desserts. A chef will cook food on the spot for you if you wish. It's normally $79.50. They had a half price special for November. Advantage plus members receive discounts. Service was very good.
