I will say yes if you are looking for some nice casual dining experience this place is the best. Perfect staff with warm and friendly treatment makes you feel like you are at home enjoying with your loved ones and in aspect of food I tried different dishes over here and this time it was roast figs and grilled tuna it looks mouth watering and it taste great as well going back soon.

Young Alfred offers a top-of-the-line dining experience from start to finish. The decor is classic and elegant, the servers are knowledgeable about every aspect of the wine list and menu and have personal and friendly approach to the service process , the presentation is great, the food is obviously amazing... highly, highly recommend eating here.

I'm not a fan of this restaurant. Apparently they do good pizzas but that doesn't help when you're gluten intolerant. I usually have chefs trying to figure out something I can eat - not here, even when I called days ahead. Over priced, too noisy, terrible service, and they lsot our reservation for 15 people... even though I can rung to confirm twice.

Everything I wanted to say has been said already, poor service, rip-off prices and bad organisation. Don't be sucked in by the location, you should never leave a restaurant hungry!

A very poor experience. We booked the night before and got there and were told they didn't have a booking for us. The service was poor, rude and unresponsive staff. I ordered the Sirloin Angus and was greeted with the smallest serving of steak I've ever seen with some soggy looking parsnip tossed around the plate for $30. Couldn't get anybody to bring us a dessert menu, so we cut our losses and left still hungry, once we finally got given the bill after 3 attempts. I recommend visiting the McDonalds across the road instead because that's where we ended up $80 afterward!

I have been here many times over the years, but it really has continued to go downhill until it's reached the point where I can't justify returning.
Pecorino and olives comes with about 8 olives and a 1 cm square piece of cheese. Portion sizes are ridiculous and the prices are exhorbitant for what is nothing more than bistro food. We had to go and eat again after our meal here because we were still starving.
Staff are unbelievably rude and underskilled and seem perturbed if you dare ask them for water or the bill. I agree with other reviewers, the owners are simply greedy and taking advantage of tourist trade. They clearly see absolutely no need to attract repeat business by providing good food, value or service.
A waste of a prime location.

Lovely location, but really odd portion sizes and poor service! On a busy Saturday night ahead of a big event at the Opera House, there appeared to be one waiter and one bartender taking care of a nearly-full restaurant on their own. We waited more than 30 minutes for drinks alone, as a matter of fact, our meals were served before our drinks came out (all we ordered was a bottle of mineral water and one glass of red wine).
While pizza portions were generous, the pumpkin ravioli (which cost $24) included about five pieces of pasta, barely a snack. I'm a petite woman and I could have eaten at least 2-3 times as much.
Views of Circular Quay are amazing and the food (despite ridiculous portion size) was delicious. Just not worth the money you pay, especially when compared to the generous portions at nearby Alfredo's. Disappointing.

I have been to Young Alfred numerous times over many years. Their pizza is good, but the customer service and attitude of their staff just keeps getting continually worse. I recently booked a table for a corporate lunch. I called three times to confirm that I was requesting a table set up outside under the umbrellas. I was told that would be no problem, but when all of my guests arrived they were seated at a table for 20 that was crammed inside. It was so close to the table next to us (who were regular customers and won't return either) that we could not get in or out.
When I spoke to the senior staff about my disappointment and the fact that I had called numerous times to confirm with them that this exact thing did not happen, he flicked his hand at me and laughed. I said that this was the last time I would come here or book any future functions and he just shrugged his shoulders and said "oh well." I was speechless really and left it at that, disgraceful!

We have been going here before shows for around 5 years, but now we are looking for an alternative. We have seen the prices go from reasonable (this is a noisy bistro, with average meals) to silly. $32 for a main in a place like this is too much. Forget the "average meal price" shown here "15-19" dollars. It used to be great, it has just become too greedy. For the prices there can do better elsewhere.

My friend took me there for light meal on fri. night. around...8 pm? a few group was there, but not packed. He often come here for work lunch so he recommended me a pizza. So we shared Pizza (Olives, Ricotta, Zucchini) and Rocket Salad. Simple stuff, pizza base was a bit over-cooked but it was ok.
Service? the waiter served us was nice (seems he knew my friend go there for lunch), any others r...??? but ok, no bother.
