Great little cafe right on the water of Darling Harbour. The food was very nice, and good value for money. The time it took to receive the food was a tad too long however. Coffee at Yots was to die for.
A wonderful meal at Yots. This place has an amzaing setting and we were looked after by outstanding staff. The fish and chips is superb and the view is to die for. The perfect place for a quick snack or a leisurely afternoon for people of all ages.
Lunch today was less than pleasant at 1 pm. Very few customers, plenty of staff, poor service. Soup way too peppery and 2 sweets no longer available. All I can say is that they must have had a lot of customers before 1 pm. Disappointing given the lovely setting. Try harder Yots.
We went for a late Sunday lunch just before 3 pm. There were 3 waiters and it was not very busy but I had to get up and tell a waiter we were ready to order as it seems we were forgotten. Other than that little glitch, service was good. We both had fish and chips and the portions were generous and very good. Fish was fresh. The beer-battered fries were fantastic! 2 fish and chips with 2 old beers for $30 with the Entertainment card. Not bad!
What a great venue in a funny little place. Advertised more as a Cafe it has all the presentation, food and service of a fine dining restaurant. We dined at lunchtime on a Saturday and the place started to fill up after we arrived. I had the kangaroo with beetroot and my partner had the fish (can't remember what type) with potato. These came with a glass of wine as part of a special for the day. There is a pretty extensive and fair value kids menu. The best part is they have wonderful desserts but also being a cafe, they stock little cakes such as friands and muffins to have with coffee. What a wonderful way to finish dinner.
We took some friends for lunch and it was just delightful. The food is more like restaurant food, such great quality and value. We were told the chef is Sean McCourt so well done to you and the gang! We had the Kangaroo Fillet, Chicken with Risotto Cake, Osso Bucco and a lovely Ling Fillet, all just divine. Service is so personable and our waiter had us well organised and watered, he was a real wonder (we think his name is Alan).
Now about the view, wow! It looks at the city from Darling Harbour in front of the Maritime Museum, looking at a quaint lighthouse, tall ship, vessels and a navy ship, a real find. This cafe deserves a visit from tourists to locals, we highly recommend it! We will be back soon guys.
Yots is a beautiful, casual stylish setting for lunch on the quieter side of Darling Harbour, near Maritime Museum. Food and service were great . Good value, try it!
Tucked away (almost deliberately it would seem) we would never have come here had it not been in the Entertainment Book (yay!). With no passing traffic the table are mere wharf decorations, than busy turnovers of satisfied bellies.
I had the osso bucco which was meltingly tender, resting on a bed of comforting mash languishing in oh-so-perfect gravy stock which was tasty and not at all oily.
My friend had the fish and chips which were good but not fantastic, especially since both were roughly the same price at about $15--the envious stares were proof I got the better deal!
Efficient professional service although our meals did take a while and the wine is horrendously overpriced ($7.50 per glass of table wine!). Go hunt this hidden sea treasure.
