Big portions, big flavours, it's a shame that the toilets are vile.

The food was far too salty and the portions were far too small and the food was far too expensive.

8 of us went for a gathering, food was great. Awesome S & P calamari, dumplings and great pork dishes, special mention to a pork shoulder dish, can't remember name but it's the top left photo on the pork page of menu, fantastic! Place is bright downstairs and bit scuzzy upstairs but who cares, we'll be back. Ate heaps of food and probably 10 tsing tao beers and only $30 each. Great. BYO is $5 a wine bottle btw.

The dumplings here are so great! My favourite! It is BYO and ends up being a very cheap night out. There is not a great atmosphere but it is not bad either. Usually busy but the service still fairly quick. Yee King dumplings = L.O.V.E.

We have been here before and only recenty came back. The food has improved, must be new cooks. We quite like this place now. Only thinly is it looks like they need to wipe the floor and tables more often, apart frrom this good value for good food.

I tried the lunch special (braised beef with rice) it was ok, service just so so. Don't expect too much.

Very good food specialties, the pork ribs and dumplings. Dumplings are very fresh. The service are nice too.

I agree with the other reviewers, food is great here but I totally hate the service: very rude arrogant waiters, one clicked his fingers at us to pay the bill last we were there and barked when he said how much the bill cost (and we were only getting takeaway!) my advice: order takeaway over the phone before hand so you don't stay there long enough to be insulted!

Quite a nice meal at this little Chinatown restaurant. Food good, although laksa not quite spicy enough for our liking. Ambience OK, but fun if you can sit at the bar and look outwards onto Sussex Street and watch the passers-by. But the real highlight is the value, it was $19 BETWEEN us and we were pretty much filled up.

My best friend and I go to this restaurant nearly once a week. Definitely great value! We have tried nearly everything on the menu but recommend the following:
> Dan dan mien - a mildly spicy mince beef/noodle dish
> Pork rib in foil - tender pork ribs in a sweet/spicy sauce
> Beijing style cold noodles - I tried this for the first time and was amazed! The dish consists of cold noodles, sliced cucumbers and a tasty beef mince. You should add dark vinegar to this dish and its perfect!
> Dumplings here are OK. Steamed are nice
> Beijing style pork in sweet and sour sauce - this dish is AMAZING! So flavoursome and tossed through with carrot and corriander.

You must try out Yee King - definitely worth a visit. However, one downside is the tea. I believe the tea is constantly recycled which upsets me.
