Eat here when it's empty - the waitering staff have no choice but to notice you then. It's cheap, if not cheerful, with the flavours you expect, but not more.
Had lunch here yesterday and overall, it's quite cheap and quite average. The vegetarian dishes I ordered (vermicelli tofu wrap and spring rolls) were alright, but my husband didn't like the prawn dish he ordered. He didn't finish it, which is a sure sign. Hubby rated what he had "1" and I'm rating what I had a "5"...the average is "3", so that's what they get for the food.
Although we only spent around $30 for lunch, which is super cheap, I think we got what we paid for, so "5" for the value. No ambience whatsoever, it's a bit like eating at Subway or something like that. The service was nearly non-existent and the waitresses are not friendly at all. I doubt I'll be back as I'd rather try other Vietnamese restaurants in the area.
I went to this place for beef noodle soup, 3rd mouthful, found a piece of metal scrubber. I told the staff who said "it is not my fault, what do you want me to do about it?" We walked right out. If they thought they could run a restaurant this way they should seriously change their ways and educate the staff better. 1 for food is OVERSTATEMENT!
Upon entry, noone greeted us. Waited 10 minutes then had to ask for a menu. The beef noodle soup was tasteless and wasn't even hot enough to cook the raw beef.
I can't believe I had to argue with them just to get a cup of tap water because they ran out of tea and wanted to force us to buy a drink. They also ran out of bean sprouts which is ridiculous for a vietnamese restaurant. It's not cheap neither, relative to the other viet restaurants that are cheaper, tastier and giving larger servings. Conclusion: no restaurant can be worse.
