I don't know much about Chinese food but this Comic books shop is a funny place to eat. There is not a lot of choice, about 9 different dishes, and everything is written in Chinese, hopefully, there are pictures. The cook recommended us the beef noodle soup. I took a curry chicken that was good. The soup was also good, according to my friend.

You have to wait a little bit because everything is not ready to serve, as in the fast food restaurants. The courses were good and seem much "home made" than in the fast food. About 7$ the course and 2.5$ the iced tea.

It's a comic book shop though, they have the best beef noodle in Sydney. If you come here, try the milk tea as well. It's great. And the staff is always very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

It is a bit hard to find, and even when you get there it is not obviously a place to eat. The staff are, however, lovely. There is not much English about, but lack of Chinese won't stop you getting a tasty meal. If you are looking for the finesse and subtlety of Taipei haute cuisine, this is not the place but what you get is honest, straight forward cooking that is a pleasure to eat for not much money. The menu is limited. The serves are pretty generous.

Woo-Long is a place that I assumed not many would know of. Why? Because it's all the way upstairs in a dark building. And sleazy looking. But when I arrived, it was quite full to my surprise -and not at all sleazy! I guess word got around that this is a good, cheap Taiwanese eatery/net-cafe/comics/dvd/vcd rental spot (yes, All in one).

The service is very sweet and helpful. Most people come here for the famous hot beef noodle soup. Delicious! We asked them if we could have it mild and so maybe it lacked a bit of bite. Although a friend of mine, a Woo-Long fan, told me that it tastes best hot because there is an added flavour. Well, there's always next time. They arrived with a huge bowl of delicious broth, slippery noodles, slices of yummy beef, tofu, greens (was it bok choy? I don't remember) and fried fish ball. And if you like, you can grab some magazines to read as you eat. There's also the option of using the internet. The menu is tiny (as is the actual place) with only a couple of dishes but my friend tells me all of them are great so I'll come back to try each dish for sure. I love this place, the most expensive dish being $7.50 which is Cheap! It's casuall food in a casual atmosphere. Value packed, happy food with happy service. It may be hard to find so just remember directly (almost) opposite from Markety City and stuck between a bbq chicken store on one side, and Chinese grocery on the other. Oh, and it's upstairs. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for good, simple, inexpensive food.
