On sunday 19th Feb on the way back to inner west of nsw from Palm Beach stopped at Wildclove in Monavale with family and friends. Was quite amazed with overall experience with friendly service we got a table. First thing I've noticed the menu which was a bit different than other indian restaurants. I've noticed a touch of french flavour mixed up with traditional indian cuisine.
For Entree we ordered Onion Bhaji, papdi chaat, coconut fish, papadams and hot plum and apricot chutney. Every single of them was delicious and all of us straight away felt this was something different. Then main course came Kashmiri roganjosh, prawn chorchori, aloo baigon, dal tadka with fresh spinach and butter chicken.
In a word all of the dishes were fantastic. Specially lamb and prawn chorchori and aloo baigon were fabulous. On the top the prices were standard. We have been to many indian restaurants in inner west and western suburbs but did not have any idea of such a nice restaurant in northern suburbs. We definitely want to go whenever we can.

Thanks for your review. Hope to see you again.

Went for dinner at Wild Clove on last Saturday. Although the restaurant was full, the staffs took good care of us. The entrees was delicious, especially the lamb cutlet was amazing. Didn't have enough space to eat all the mains. So took it home for next day lunch. As it was our first visit the manager gave us complementary dessert. That mango ice-cream was mind blowing. Definitely going back again.

I visited Wild Clove last week a bunch of friends. I had the whitebait, prawn chochori, funny to find that this menu was very similar to Road to Goa at St Ives. I found that most dishes including the chutneys had been blatantly copied. We had to wait 40 minutes for our mains when the restaurant was only half full. Walked away thinking, still no comparison!
Response from Management:
Thanks for your comments. Indian foods are quite similar in whole world. Samosa, butter chicken, vindaloo, rogan josh, korma, naan, chutneys or prawn chocori those are not someone's personal signature dish or copyright to any restaurant. If you could do some constructive comments about the quality of our food and service or specify the reason of such low marks in every section that would help us for improvement. Additionally we didn't have any table in last couple of weeks who had to wait 40 minutes for their food. I doubt you were really in our restaurant or convinced by someone to write this review. Thanks.

Unfortunately, we have had the worst experience in home delivery we have ever had. It was the first time we ordered with Wild Clove and the last unfortunately. When we ordered we were told it would be a 45-50 minute wait which is fine, but after waiting 1hr 20 minutes we called, only to be told it would be another half an hour and did we want to pick it up instead.
To cut a long story short after we had decided to just leave it given we had already waited an hour and a half, the door bell rings at the almost 2 hour mark and the delivery man is there. Bizare. So not only do Wild Clove not communicate with their customers if there is going to be a delay but they also don't communicate with their own driver. We ended up paying for it, and the discount we were initially offered on the phone wasn't even honoured.
To top it off the food was cold, the portions were small, and extremely average. Overall the worst experience in home delivery we have ever had. It wasn't the drivers fault (poor guy was run off his feet), but clearly management didn't manage the delivery orders effectively, and in the end they have lost new customers.
Response from Management:
We really appologise for the experience that you had with us. We already explained that we had 4/5 times more take away and home deliveries than usual on that weekend due to menu distribution and that was unexpected to us. We gave our best effort but sometimes it just happens which is unavoidable. But this is not real Wild Clove that you experienced. We want you to give us another chance so that we can recover your loss. Hope to see you very soon in Wild Clove.

Just made another booking for tomorrow which reminded me I hadn't left a review from our previous visit. Wild Clove has become a favourite of ours.
The food is delicious and is superior to the majority of Indian restaurants we have visited. Although the dishes are traditional they have a western edge and are served with flair. We couldn't fault our meal, the servings were very generous and executed with great care and attention to detail. The relaxed clean atmosphere was a welcome change and the staff were very attentive and efficient. We look forward to another thoroughly enjoyable evening.

This place is fantastic. We went there on a Thursday evening and it was really busy. Took our teenage son, who also thought it was great. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. Good value for money and the food was the best Indian I have had in at least 6 years. On the way out we booked to go next week and this time we will take the rest of our family. Stunning.

Coming from an Indian background, my expectation was probably too high in terms of quality of food. We ordered 3 entrees, 4-5 mains and desserts. Entrees were great, mains were all sweet and full of sugar but that could have been because apparently we ordered everything that was supposed to be sweet?! Most curries I know are def not sweet but anyway, To the credit of the host, he gave us a lamb vindaloo which turned out to be really good.
Dessert was terrible. It was really crowded, barely any space to move and much too crowded for my liking. Service was excellent.

Was taken to Wild Clove for my birthday and after a week of eating in a couple of other suburban restaurants and being charged an arm and a leg for the privledge, it was nice to go out for some really really yummy food and walk out extremely full and satisfied for $45, this included corkage.
The staff were truly beautiful, nothing was too much trouble, the food was good quality and great value for money. We took up the banquet option and by the end of the entree's I was already feeling satisfied and there were still 4 more meals to hit the table. It was finished of with a mixed plate of icecream and we were all very happy campers. I would suggest they could dim the lights a bit and throw some candles on the table for ambience but that would be nit picking. This is not a chefs hat restaurant but it is a great value, great food suburban restaurant.
Response from Management:
Thank you very much for your review. We are really excited for getting high marks. It will definitely encourage us to improve our quality and services. See you again in the restaurant.
