I came here with two of my girlfriends, for drinks and something to eat, however, when we looked at the menu we realised how over priced everything was, I mean $8 for 5 olives is ridiculous. We had the vanilla, passionfruit martini (can't remember the exact name) which was refreshing and nice, however, the wine list was all very over priced if buying by the glass, and when ordering a vodka lime soda, I didn't expect to pay $10!

The service was ok, we got a table straight away out side, however, the waiter mocked how I spoke when ordering the bruschetta and acted in a really rude way.
When we got the bill it came to like $160.. we had 5 drinks and 3 tapas between us.. A little steep.

I would return for the drinks but not to eat.

We went to dinner on friday night. They were having a "tropical" theme night. We were disappointed that they would have a theme that was so tacky, fake flowers, hawaiian shirts, sand etc. It is a nice place with a great atmosphere when there is no tropical theme night! The meal was nice except for my salmon being overcooked. We will go back for the drinks.

We looked forward to experiencing this new local restaurant with friends but were sadly disappointed particularly with regard to service and conversation invasive noise level. Food and wine were satisfactory and priced Ok, even though we ordered a bottle of wine but were brought 1 glass for a table of 4, Service was impersonal, inattentive and abrupt. The Friday 6:30pm or 8:30pm seating were also a little restrictive. We will not be returning any time soon.

Ate there with a group of 4 girls tonight. We had a booking for 6pm and were seated promptly. We started with sweet potato chips with aioli which nice although a touch salty. We ordered a variety of cocktails, all which were great. One of the favourites was their deconstructed cocktail - the breakfast mojito was a good experience.

The mains were good - I had the slow braised lamb shoulder and the others ordered the salmon, pork belly, wagyu burger and the seared scallops as a main. Everyone was happy with their food - all of it was cooked well. The lamb was delicious as was the seared salmon (I had a bit of both). Probably best to order a side with the lamb as it is a meaty dish. The portions were a good size.

The atmosphere was very nice, although more people started to come in at about 8pm, it didn't get too noisy. The service was great, our waiter was very attentive and our glasses were always full. We would definitely go back there!

I attended the White Hart last Saturday with 4 friends. We were all eagerly anticipating the evening as the reviews had been so positive with regard to food, cocktails and atmosphere.

The entire experience was a very negative one, and I have no intention of ever returning or recommending the White Hart to anyone. In fact I would deter people from going...

We arrived at the restaurant at 8.15pm for an 8.30pm booking, and were shown to a cocktail table with two chairs. The host who served us apologised that our table was not ready and said that she would locate some chairs for us to add to the cocktail table. She walked off and started taking drinks orders from other patrons. No one gave us any drinks menus, and no one came to take our order.

At 8.45pm when we still had not been served or directed to a table, I enquired as to whether our table was ready. The waiter proceded to mock me and make a joke about me being impatient and hungry. Five minutes later we were shown to our table with no apology, no menus, no water and no offer for drinks.

At 9.15pm having been at the restaurant for 1hour, we had not been given any menus or offered a drink. At 9.30pm our waiter came to take our order, at which point we all were very angry as we had not been shown a menu for food or drinks. One of my companions requested the bars signature 'breakfast mojito', to which the waiter responded by laughing and saying it was too busy to make this cocktail, and so could not take that order.

When our cocktails arrived, they were fine. Nothing extraordinary as the website suggests, and certainly no comparison to the mixologists at 'Grandmas'. We ate our dinner at 10pm. My meal was cold and my companions meals were either also cold, under seasoned, and/or unimpressive.

I am so disappointed that a night we all eagerly anticipated was so awful. The staff were rude, mocking, and totally unfazed by the fact that we had been in the restaurant for almost two hours before we were served drinks or food.

Sydney is full of wonderful restaurants in fantastic locations, with great food and cocktails. Unfortunately, this restaurant does not deserve the positive reviews it has recently received. If you are thinking of going to the White Hart, stop.

Great bar and drinks. Good ambience. Busy and pretty noisy, but that's to be expected at a busy bar.

Food (quail entree and wagyu beef burger) were disappointing. Very plain and pretty tasteless. I am all for Wagyu, but better to stick to plain old mince and spend the difference on adding a few more ingredients than two pieces of canned beetroot and iceberg lettuce leaves. If the food lived up to the bar, then this place would be a lot more compelling.

I would definitely return as meeting spot prior to dining at one of the other great restaurants in this area, but not to eat.

I absolutely love the cocktails here. The passionfruit, caramel and vanilla is my favourite.

I'm not so keen on the food, (honestly I haven't been game enough to fork out the money to try it), and the ambience is better on a week night when the place is not jam-packed.

But I cannot keep my mind off the cocktails, they are the best I have ever had in Sydney. I have watched the attention to detail the bartenders use, and have tasted many delicious results. It is great to drop by for a quick treat on your way to or from a meal. Cannot wait to go back there for another cocktail and another thing, their homemade tonic water, and their ginger beer is amazing!
