I wandered in here on the way home from work one evening looking for a cheap and nasty, chicken-based takeaway meal. I'd been living in the area for a few months and had always noticed a couple of people in here but certainly not enough of a crowd to draw me in based on popularity alone.

Never in my life have I eaten a burger as good as the one I had that night (well, except for the other occasions on which I have eaten the same burger). I can't even tell you how good they are and having now read other reviews about the chips and pasta from the same shop, I may never eat anywhere else again either!

Get there, try the food. I promise you will not be disappointed.

When Columbus set sail in 1492 he didn't think he would discover a new continent, much less that this landmass was to become the unparalleled global dominant geopolitical force.

Much like Columbus I stumbled upon Waverley Chicks after a training session. Casually and nonchalantly I ordered three pastas in a medium bucket and one lasagne. What follows is my account of the next 10 minutes. Walking home I opened the brown paper bag and made eye contact with the pasta. It looked just like every other pasta I had ever eaten but with one exception. There was a fragrance I was not aware pasta was capable of making.

As if to quell my insatiable curiosity and hunger in one fell swoop, I grabbed at the pasta with my bare hands and shovelled it down my esophagus, all the while resenting my unchecked primality. The texture, freshness and sheer being of the pasta resonated with every atom in my body. I knew if this love affair was to continue I was going to have to start working weekends to cover the ongoing costs.

Luckily for me, my employer is flexible and pays overtime, double on weekends and handsome a monthly bonus.
