We had lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The food was average (in a good way) cafe style food and my friend raved about the fries (they were good - crisp on the outside and not oily). Service was fine.

I've only had coffee here on the sofa and it was pretty good - not the place that seems to have been visited by other reviewers but then they ate in a separate section. Unless you find the sofa particularly appealing, for coffee and cake I suggest you go to elsewhere instead.

I can't recommend this place at all. I was verbally insulted by a waitress when I (very quietly and politely) mentioned that my order was incorrect. In fact the woman went so feral she was forced to apologise to me and the other diners. Strange thing is, I think she still works there. So go at your own risk. Food's not all that anyway.

The place is nice and cosy and has a good atmosphere at night time but it pretty much ends there. They have a big 'tiger beer' neon light at the front. I ordered a tiger beer and was told they were out (this restaurant is approx 40 meters from a bottle shop). I then asked for a gin and tonic with lime and was told they were out of lime but I could have lemon (this restaurant is approx 5-10 meters from Woolworths). My food took over an hour to arrive, I had ordered a stir fry dish which would have been no more than 3 minutes in a wok. The young girls that work here are rude and incompetent.

I ordered soup with toasted Turkish bread and astonished when they brought out 2 pieces of plain toast with watered down soup. When I asked "isn't it supposed to come with Turkish bread?" she said "we have run out, it's either that or nothing". Two minutes later the table next to us was brought out garlic bread on sour dough toast. After asking the waitress again, I eventually got some sour dough toast but there was an extra $5 charge on the bill. The cafe is opposite Woolies (which trades till midnight) so they really should stock up items on the menu in the first place.

We were a little hesitant at first to have breakfast here as it is a bit dark (it is also a wine bar). The food was excellent - great eggs and bacon is always crispy, the coffee is really good too. Many a hangover has been cured at this cafe! The service is also friendly and efficient.

Three of us dropped in for lunch on Sunday at this unpretentious Neutral Bay cafe. Orders were taken and drinks arrived. Then we waited...and waited. A table of six next to us had ordered before us and some of those diners had finished their meals before two of their companions received theirs. A warning.

Our three simple mains took just over an hour and mine was wrong. I had ordered the grilled barramundi with burnt butter caper dressing and chips. My meal came without the dressing. Reluctantly I accepted it after the waiter said it was her fault. When the bill came I had been charge as if I had received what I ordered. When I pointed this out to the owner his attitude was arrogant and not conciliatory. As I was using the Entertainment card he said he would take a $1 off and "that's my price if you want to use the card". No apology for the time to receive the food, nor the incompetence of the waiter or the cook, just take it or leave it! We will never go there again and we suggest you don't.
