Fantastic value for money! I was very surprised that the place was fairly empty on a Saturday night.

The prices are super reasonable, we paid $110 for two people and both had drinks, sashimi, sushi, roast duck, tempura camembert (could have been cooked longer imo, the camembert wasn't oozing out), and zaru soba with tempura. The tempura is done very nicely, which was good to see!

Will definitely be returning.

Went there on Sunday for year-end dinner with my partner. The waiting staff informed us that Sushi Bar was busy, so they recommend us to order from the kitchen menu.

We ordered some entrees and Wagyu beef steak for the main meal. After 30 minutes, we got the first entrée, and another 30 minutes, rest of the entrees, and another 60 minutes for the main. It took 2 hours to get the main meal after ordering food. The taste of food was Ok. However, I think they need to improve the presentation of the Wagyu beef steak. At a first look, I thought it was salad, because more than 70% of the plate was salad and chips, which was a mess, the steak was hidden in it. I don’t think we’re coming back.

Great place for a group to dine pre evening out. We had a table of 7 and had a great time, we were first table in at 6.30pm on a Friday night, meaning that service was attentive without being intrusive. Knew that we had ordered the $35 set menu, and brought out a steady stream of fresh and delicious Japanese fare.

BYO at $3 a head is great bonus for this area and we were all satisfied and full by the end of the menu, even had room for the excellent green tea ice cream. If you want a value for money option for your next group night out, then this place should be on your list.

Went here for dinner with my partner after reading these reviews. Good quality food and friendly service, but really uncomfortable chair on the bench. The size didn’t fit the bench and table. Or rather sit on the bench. I couldn’t stay longer than 30 minutes. No one mentioned about it on the reviews, agree with me?

This is an authentic Japanese restaurant with fabulous food and an unique austere but warm ambience. The tempura is as good as you get in Sydney, the sashimi and sushi selection mouth watering. Japanese beer on tap and a great selection of sake. Try this place.

Decided to go to Watermoon after reading good reviews, they were not wrong at all! Had vegeterian and tuna-avocado rolls. Very tasty, fresh and good value. The rice was soft and sweet, delightful! The staff were very friendly and quick. A great place to go back to visit.

After the shocking experience at Wasabi Bistro my family and friends headed to the Water Moon. The ambience, service, food was just wonderful, sashimi was fresh, the rice in the sushi rolls was soft not hard, the special before 7pm dinner sets is value for money stating from $15.. the staff was friendly and tables and floor clean as.. I am pinching myself why did I not choose Watermoon in the first place! Will definitely go back!

Went here tonight before a show. 6 of us paid about $28 ea for a very average meal. Lovely restaurant and location but typical Potts Point, not much value for money. I'd rather go to Pyrmont and have Sushi Samurai.
